  • LOL, for art i have to study an artist who has done something with flowers..aaaand while everyone else studies Van Gogh im going to to this guy ^_^ Murakami FTW!!

  • Great choice of music for the video

  • fuck that shit hahahaha!! its ovious how easy is anime always ripped off from the masters. how does is selling out anime make someone rich? oh like he did. please give back Fujio, miyasaki, CLAMP, and everyone else who has rocked the 70s 80s and 90s their stuff back. thanks.

  • @ov3rclocked Collaborating doesn't mean you're selling out. He's expanding his art, he's a genius.

  • Thanks.

  • i love this song the chemical bros have nothing on this

  • Hmm, I don't think the painting at 01:07 is Murakami's but rather some japanese chick's.

  • This is awesomeness/creativity/art incarnate.

  • The only thing that made me frown in the video was the guy holding his 90 in. long dick ....

  • el mejor artista de todos

  • I love murakami!

  • He is great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • honestly, is a statue of a man making a lasso of his cum art?

  • the one at 1:06 is an Aoshima work. Not Murakami.

  • what's the song?

Murakami is dope i love his art :)

Big Dream would be to work at KaiKai&KiKi Co. for Murakami

  • Yea its done by Chiho Aoshima.

  • All I can think about is chemical brothers, this is like a higher pitch, weaker version than theirs. Hey! So its ok to show a penis busting one, but not humungous tits shooting milk. 3:55 Not fair...

  • I think there's room enough in the world for both versions of Star Guitar

  • Yeah, there is, don't know whats original or copied, or something else, but i like the chem. bros. version better, that's all.

  • @dillonXOXO First of all, it's 'stupid'. Second of all, it's 'cunt'. Learn how to spell. :I

  • What's wrong with doing fake? A bag's a fucking bag

  • His art is a big inspiration to me. I myself am an artist, but I have never seen anything like this. Takashi Murakami, you are a true artist. :)

  • I went to a murakami exhibition just tuesday ^^

    it was great!

  • His style of art is inspiring. :D

  • That's just art with pure esthetics. There's nothing much profound.

  • Superflat is a postmodern art movement, founded by the artist Takashi Murakami, which is influenced by manga and anime.[1] It is also the name of a 2001 art exhibition, curated by Murakami, that toured West Hollywood, Minneapolis and Seattle.[2] The term is used by Murakami to refer to various flattened forms in Japanese graphic art, animation, pop culture and fine arts, as well as the "shallow emptiness of Japanese consumer culture."

    Kind of the point, ace.

  • That's exactly what irritates me, the shallowness and emptiness of it. I personally believe art should be constructive and as a visual artist myself I insist on such principle. It's fine appreciating esthetics but we mustn't forget the true essence of art.

BTW, I must say the colour usage is pretty attractive.

  • "LOL"

  • I love both this movie as well as the song, for some reason it just makes me feel happy!

  • yeah RIP kaye west RIP Black culture

  • He hasn't said anything negative. It was an opinion he stated. No need to attack him.

  • ???

  • They should make the music video for this like the original...train runnin and scenery acting as music notes and drum beats good stuff! id make it if i had the cash

  • If your an artist yourself you should know there is only art.

  • @kikikilly True, But this is shit

But you give off the impression that you don't like him.

And you are entitled not to.
