  • i love my '86! it's white with the blue landau roof. i got it from an old couple (bless those older folks!) in fantastic shape, 11 years ago. it came with the 305, then i put a 350 into it, and now it's getting that 350 reworked with some minor mods. i had the rear wheel frame professionally welded 10 years ago on it, just to make sure nothing cracked. what an awesome car from GM!

  • holy, that is the EXACT SAME as mine!! colour, chrome even the rims! 7.9% lmao, I paid $500

  • I can't wait to put my Cutlass in the ocean. 7.9 percent? That sucks.

  • Can't wait to get my Cutlass on the road.

  • My car got stuck in the sand, never made it close to the water. :(

  • ive had mine since new..great cars.. beautiful design very dependable it was only 9999 dollars brand new!a lot of people ask if its for sale....the answer is always no..

  • That salt water can't be good for it.

  • Nothing like an old school car!! Still beautiful after all this time!!

  • This is pretty close to the Olds Cutlass Supreme I have. Very big car with plenty of room under the hood for a juicy powerplant. Gonna restore mine and put in a Chevy V8, someday.

  • @kornkyd09 Screw that Chevy crap! Put a real Olds 455 Rocket 88 in it, or otherwise, it's just another pansy ass chevy.

  • @kornkyd09 well i know this is an old post - but why would you want to do that. An oldsmobliie motor will sound better and is better made... I hate it when i hear an olds start up and it sounds like a chevy.

  • looks just like my cutlass. check my video out

  • lol. I got a Sage Green Metallic Braughm with the 307. recent carb rebuild and planning on duel exhaust soon, Just put wheels off an old 73 442. Painted the same color as the car with the chrome and chrome trim on the car... beautiful lol. I might get a vid of it idk.

  • I used to have one of these in the sage green, as well. God, how I hated parting with that beauty!!

Of course, it had the V8 engine and was built like a tank, so when you drove over 55mph, you could practically watch the fuel gauge drop down to "E", LOL.

  • ha thats about what mine does if i get on it, but if its just constantly cruising i can practicly let off the petal and keep it around interstate speeds, and the gas seems to go a little slower lol

  • I love my 87 Olds Cutlass..doing a complete interior restore and it will be show ready this summer!!

  • I love my 1983 Hurst/Olds ...great body, great balls of fire!!

  • i got one like this

  • That's a G ride rite there, I wish GM still made cars with rear wheel drive

  • lol remember in fletch where he dresses like moses or somethin an therer r surfers which r undercover cops they r sittin on a buick regal

  • I have an 86 , 87 of this kind of car in my drive way

I have an 86 Cutlass supreme brougham V6

(needs a new Carburator and will get a new Candy apple paint job soon)

I have an 87 Cutlass Supreme Power Steering V8 (brand new paint job with gold rims)

  • nice car

  • that car is a for sure rust bucket driving on the beach salwater D.S.O.B !

  • Ah, one of the best looking cars ever made. I'm looking at an 85' Cutlass salon. Only seen one or two winters and has been covered up when not being driven. Almost rust free! Oldsmobile forever!

  • I agree, I always liked this body style. We had a local Oldsmobile dealer suppy our drivers ed cars in High School. I remember driving those brand new 1987 Cutlass Supremes. Great looking car!!

  • I love Cutty's.

  • im inheriting a 86 cutlass supreme from my brother its a light yellow but im gonna have to re-do the vinyl stuff on the back

  • I wonder how quickly that car turned to rust being in the saltwater lol!

  • yeah really lol

  • Seems like everybody has a Cutlass story, lol. I have an '84 Cutlass, my grandfather bought it brand new, and I inherited it. Light blue w/ a dark blue landau & interior. Still damn near mint. Feels like driving a new car. Just turned over 130k. But my mechanic thought it actually had 30k on it haha!

    Benny C.

  • I had an 87 Cutlass Supreme with the 307 hooked to a 200 metric trans and 2.56 gear. Very reliable but ran the 1/4 mile in the 19's. I eventually dropped a 71 455 Olds in it with a 400TH trans and it improved to 14.9 in the quarter. The Cutlass is gone but the 455 Olds soldiers on in my 71 Olds 442.

  • I still have my '86 coupe with T-tops. It is blackberry. The 231 v6 is a pig, so I am putting a 350 in it. That's the way I like it!Thanks for posting this.

  • We had a 85 cutlass, it was bought new at Nowlings Oldsmobile, Downey California. It nickeled and dimed us. The new car warranty was a joke from GM. It did not cover everything.Something was alwaysing breaking on it. Normal use. The car was sold on looks.

  • wow I have an 85 and it has been the best car Ive ever had. I have worked at several car dealerships and from expereince their is always that one lemon piece of dogshit that gets sold to someone and fucks them over, time and time again!! I think thats what happened to you unfotunatly

  • Pretty sad V8. 307 weighs as much as a 350 or 403.

I think it was rated at 140 HP.

I had that motor in a 1981 Toronado, yanked it and dropped in a built 403 with alum intake, and lowered the axle ratio. Then it moved like a proper car.

  • The new Oldsmobile's are in early this year!

  • lol the blues brothers

  • i owned a 84 cutlass supreme.. got stolen.. and now im looking for another cause i fuckin love that car! rear wheel drive.. shit i wouldnt wana drive that on the beach goin that fast..

  • I drive my 86' salon every day and it's been a very good car. don't plan on parting with it anytime soon!

  • I remember this commercial, I was in high school then. My parents bought a new '86 Ford T-Bird and I inherited the '77 Olds Cutlass Supreme Coupe that was my mom's. Had buckets, console, 350 Rocket with the 442 suspension package from the factory. Mint condition. Got it painted and then put headers, high performance ignition on her, that car would move. Also had a mint '87 442 that I sold regretably back in Feb of 2005.

  • It never struck me as a beach-going car.

  • i have one in iraqi but it was brogham .. with 5700cc

and with great transmation its great car . i love it

  • my parents are giving me the sedan version of this. my first car. maybye when im older ill find this one .. then theyll be like brothers

  • I owned a '83 4 door with 120,000 miles, 232 v-6 engine and though it was'nt fast, it was a smooth and quite riding car.The sludge in the motor really builds up..previous owner never changed the oil!

  • i had one of these-loved it!!

  • yeah those plastic 6 cylinder front wheel drive ones are to die for.

  • "Once in a Lifetime"... how true. These are classic American cars... I owned two 1982 Broughams in a row, then a 1984 Eldorado Biarritz. I luv 'em!!

  • hell yea oldsmobiles are kick ass i love my 83 cutlass supreme with a 350

  • One of the best cars GM ever made. I had an '83. This is the only car EVER to pop your ears when the doors shut. That's how quiet and air tight the cabin was. They just don't build them in this quality for the dollar anymore.

  • how can I save this commercial to my hard drive

  • Thanks for posting this! It is good to see this Oldsmobile/GM ad on here! I placed it in my favorites. I have the Oldsmobile commercials on video. I just do not know how to upload them.
