Those two albums Blizzard and DOAM are two of the best albums ever made. Very rare to find two albums back to back that are that good.

That is really cool. I don't think that a lot of players realize that Randy set the stage for Yngwie to come into the scene a couple of years later with Rising Force. Despite that Yngwie is best known for neoclassical riffs, Randy was one of the first that really began to incorporate it into Metal. He was an innovator of that idea much like Ritchie Blackmore was also. Randy was fantastic and I am proud to have lived during his lifetime to see him play.

not really. rudy sarzo said that he and randy went on a helicopter ride just a few weeks earlier. he said they always did fun things together while on tour. randy actually wanted rudy to come along for the plane ride, but he didn't feel like it.

Somebody must have really talked Randy into getting on that plane. Because they say he was scared to fly. Even on tour, he would always take the bus. RIP Randy, your in a better place.
