She's nothing special - there are 1000's of girls who sing just like her, and some even better. Every year there are more of them - and the competition gets stiffer. Cheryl's voice is so weak here, and in the other songs she did, she'd never have made it in the current climate. The search for talent evolved much since then & expects more outstanding talent at every new batch. Thing is, she still sounds the same now, but has already made her name & has some leverage because of that.
