  • i think i've read this nora robert's book more than any other.

oliver hudson has to be my favorite male lead in all of these movies.

  • @amethystluv Yeah I read it a dozen times too - it's my favorite book by Roberts, along with "Public secrets"! ;)

  • @MissChrisl

i've never read 'public secrets'. is that the one with the daughter of the rock star? if so, i have read it and loved it.

if carolina moon was tied with any other nora roberts book (for me) it would probably be 'the villa'.

  • @amethystluv Yeah that's the one ...

I've never read "The villa". Maybe I should check it out ;)

  • @MissChrisl

then 'public secrets' is a fantastic book. 'the villa' is amazing. you should definitely check it out. it talks about wine, which i don't know anything about, but it's one of my favorite ensemble cast of characters.

  • @amethystluv Haha I don't know anything about wine too :D

Roberts always had great charas in her books. That's why I love her writing so much ...

  • @MissChrisl

i know, right!! right now i'm re-reading montana sky. i've read it easily 4 or 5 times, but it's been awhile. after that i guess i'll read one of her trilogies. i own almost all of them.

  • @amethystluv Montana Sky is really good!! It was the first book of her I EVER read - and I absolutely loved it!!

Her trilogies are great. Especially the ones about the Templetons, the MacKades and the Quinns. *sigh* I wish I could read the guys out of the books, haha.

  • @MissChrisl

the first book i read was Tribute, and only because i figured the book would answer some questions the tv movie didnt. i fell in love with ford sawyer.

which one is templetons? personally my favorite trilogy is the gallaghers of ardmore. what american chick doesn't want to fall in love with an irish accent? and, you know the guy that goes with it. haha

the in the garden trilogy is also good. that turn of the century ghost always freaks me out in the last book.

  • @amethystluv Urm the Templeton trilogy is the one that takes part in Monterey (I think ...). It's about three women who grew up in the same household (but aren't sisters). I really suck at summaries, so forgive me if I'm not going into details ;)

I read "Tribute" a few months ago. I want a Ford Sawyer too :p

Too bad that in real life most men aren't like that. What a pity ...

What is the garden trilogy about?

  • @MissChrisl oh yeah. i've read the templeton trilogy. the part i always remember is when the three women stuff their nemesis into one of the spa's locker. haha. in the garden in set in memphis. its about three women in different stages of their lives (40's, 30's, 20's) who work and live together until they become friends, and then sisters. they are also connected to the resident ghost who is benign at first but quickly becomes violent. they work at solving the ghost mystery and finding love.

  • @amethystluv Right - the spa's locker scene was hilarious! I laughed my ass off when I read it ;)

Okay, the garden trilogy sounds pretty good, too. All books of Roberts which involve ghosts of any kind are pretty good and interesting :D I love how she can combine romance and fantasy/mistery, haha.

  • @MissChrisl

absolutely. i love her straight love stories, but any time she mixes in a little supernatural it just makes the story so much better.

  • @amethystluv Yep just like "Carolina Moon" ... (to make a reference to this video here again xD)

Although I personally think the books are always better than the TV movies they made.

  • Claire Forlani and Jacqueline Bisset. WOW

CF looked so lovely in "Meet Joe Black".

The story sounds familiar so I might have seen it - but with CF and JB in the movie, it doesn't matter!

Read a comment about wanting the movie in French. I understand people wanting a movie with subtitles in their own language but I don't get why anyone would want a movie dubbed unless they can't read.

  • omg i feel so sorry 4 Tory having a bad chilhood and her best friend Hope is killed

  • ce film n'est pas disponible en français....????

  • @slimane360 Je suis désolée, mais je n'ai trouvé que la version anglaise.

  • @Julianasfarah okk;;;merci amie

  • the voices don't match the movements of the people on screen.

  • @ML1992xx I know, that's one of the probems I was facing, luckily it's not the same for the rest
