That song was NOT a damn mess. It was extremely creative. I am around famous artists all the time, my profession. This woman is a top notch entertainer. Whether or not you like her style is another question. But she oozes talent. If you can't see it, then you can't. Simon didn't get this because he is mundane. First of all, you guys are in denial. Fantasia was NEVER a very good singer (although she was good, just not that great) the sole reason why she won American Idol, was because of popularity, and cause of pity for her situation, NOT because of her singing ability.

Right up there with David Cook, Taylor Hicks, and Ruben Studdard, she should not have one.

The TRUE American Idols are and will always be:

Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Jordin Sparks.

WRONG. fantasia can outsing them all. Her voice may not have a traditional sound, but she has MAJOR power. i watched the girl sing on a Broadway stage, headlining a show, and she held her own, and sold out shows. She can sing, and she has her own style unlike some of the others you named.

Jordin is ok... but her voice is nothing special. and both Kelly and Carrie won by singing like black girls anyway....

and popularity is the reason that Diana girl lasted longer than j.Hud that season.
