something tells me someone's grid heater isn't functioning, or at least not functioning very well. The starter barely turning didn't help either. She still started though. Sounds good too. All the buses around here have international engines in them. 7.3, 6.0, DT466E. None with Cummins engines.
@matts4290 interesting. never seen a 5.9 12V without a grid heater. Was it removed or did it never exist? Considering there's no cold start aid i'd have to say it started quite well then.
@iamdave0887- It never existed on this. Most 12 valve blue bird buses and ford buses don't have grid heaters. I don't know why, when the dodge trucks did. Maybe its because its for an industrial application.
in high school i rode a 91 TC2000 72 pass it had the small bubble on the front. and i rode a 89 TC2000 also 72 pass. the 89 was a green seats. the 91 was brown.
@aruizdonatoable Mopar??? Cummins makes engines that Dodge happens to put in their trucks. Dodge/Mopar had nothing to do with the design or manufacture of the Cummins engine.
@snakesonaplane2 No mufflers, cats or DPF's. It is y-piped into duals. Would've liked to Y it from the motor, but straight pipe is expensive and getting another pipe over the axel is a pain. When I did this, 4" straight pipe was 5.00/ foot. Its closer to 7.00/ foot now. Bus is 33 feet long.
@matts4290 nice, i bet if feels a lot stronger after putting on a turbo-back straight pipe setup, every bus should be straight piped, woulda made the ride home a lot more fun
@matts4290 nice, i bet if feels a lot stronger after putting on a turbo-back straight pipe setup, every bus should be straight piped, woulda made the ride home a lot more fun
@snakesonaplane2 did u honestly just ask if it was true duals??? first of all comes it comes from the turbo, and second of all its an inline 6, no one put duals on an inline 6...
@mitsumivec4life Thanks a lot ... but i like the video.. nice bus :-) unfortunately my parents drive a Volkswagen Touareg V10 Diesel ... ;) Great European Engineering :-p.

@iamdave0887- There is no grid heater or glow plugs on this engine. There is an engine block heater, but it was not plugged in.

so is it y-piped into duals or split manifold? also does it have any mufflers or just cats/dpf's or only pipe?

@SuperDutyCummins i wasn't thinking about the turbo when asking about the split manifolds, but plenty in inline 6 guys do that with n/a engines
