turkey had the right to interfear into cyprus politics. it was its legal right after the 1960 Treaty of Guarantee signed between UK, Greece and Turkey. after its first military operations on 1974, EOKA groups continued to kill turkish villagers after when turkish troops came to cyprus. according to the original plan turkish army should return to tukey after bringing the peace. but when EOKA continued, turkish army decided to stay in cyprus. shout to EOKA, not to Turkey.

you know between 1570 and 1923 cyprus was an ottoman land which was "recognized" by the all international states. it was legally an ottoman land. if you want to learn about killings, read the history of cyprus under the venetians. many greeks demanded the ottoman rule against the venetians. not suprisingly, the president Makarios also demanded turkey to send troops to turkey after the coup of Samson, just like his ancestors on 1570.

I said Turkish settlers implanted in the island after 1974 need to be removed in article 49 of the Geneva convention which prevents occupying countries to send people to occupied lands in the attempt to change a regions demographics. you know between 1570 and 1923 cyprus was an ottoman land which was "recognized" by the all international states. it was legally an ottoman land. if you want to learn about killings, read the history of cyprus under the venetians. many greeks demanded the ottoman rule against the venetians. not suprisingly, the president Makarios also demanded turkey to send troops to turkey after the coup of Samson, just like his ancestors on 1570.

if you know anything about the international law, you should know that turkey had the right to send to army to cyprus. it was a guarantees state together with britain and greece. if EOKA should not start to enslave turks and fascist Samson should not make a coup against the Makarios government, there shouldn't be turkish army overthere. and when the cyprus turks said yes to the Annan Plan, turkish army and government was ready to leave the country. greeks refused it, as you remember.

1- The Ethnic groups in Cyprus are Greek 77%, Turkish 18%, other 5%. The annan plan gave 50-50 control over the governemt to an 18%minority of turks!
2- greek lands in the north would not be returned
3- all the turkish settlers would be given citizenship against article 49 of the genbeva convention "The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies."

Who is trying to stop anyone from going to Northern Cyprus? By the way, I am very well aware of Turkish Cypriots that lived in harmony with the Greek Cypriots prior to the illegal Turkish invasion. That is why Turkey needs to withdraw her troops and allow the country to operate as a whole as it once did. That will probably never happen b/c Cyprus is such an amazing country with the southern side (Greek side) so very wealthy and prosperous.
