Well. My question is. How many of his treble notes are real and how many are fake? -i mean, like Led Zeppelin or AC/DC Is obvious that many of that notes are fake.

note: Keane is one of my favourite band in all the world, I think Tim Rice is a fantastic composer

@juancarlangas I don't know what you mean by "fake" or "imposted" but Tom can sing all those notes live. You can see it on another video I made of his LIVE vocal range.

@keaneing Well, i'm from Mexico so i hope i can explain me fine.

"Imposted" is... like producing the sound not with the DIAFRAGM but with the THROAT. Is the way by 70's and 80's bands like Led Zeppelin, Boston, AC/DC, Quiet Riot, etc. can sing the very high notes. The concept "imposted" is the base in the way female singers of OPERA produce the notes.

Obviously this require practice; no to produce the sound in fact but producing it in a convincent style so the notes not sound so... "fake"

@juancarlangas Ah, eres de Mexico! Yo soy de España. Pues no te podría dar la respuesta exacta porque tampoco soy ninguna experta en canto. Creo que te refieres a qué notas son de pecho y cuáles son de "cabeza" o falsetto, ¿no? De "garganta" no creo que sea ninguna porque cantar con la garganta es incorrecto y te puedes hacer daño. Se canta desde el diafragma y Tom canta de un G2 a un C#5 en voz de pecho. Más arriba es de cabeza o en falsetto, que viene a significar "falso".

@keaneing Ok, ya nos estamos entendiendo, jaja. Siempre le he envidiado sus agudos a Tom, aunque me había surgido la duda de qué notas eran realmente de "pecho", y si esas notas son de pecho entonces es un buen rango - el mío es más grave y estrecho (E2-G4).

@keaneing Ahora, Keane es la banda que más me gusta, podría decir que a la altura de Beatles, pero tengo que reconocer que quizá la voz de Tom no es mi favorita. Creo que es correcta y limpia, pero admito que le hace falta carácter, como un poco de sabor, algo más distintivo y a la vez algo más "cálido". (usando términos subjetivos). Lo que a mí más me gusta son las composiciones y melodías de Tim, y la forma de orquestar..
