Best review I have seen so far of the vk 212 ,very useful for my decision to buy one. Very good playing. Fuck the haters and the racist..you are a great player and reviewer. Thanks :)
Why do people care about the language? This video is all about the amp's drive sound so it's doesn't matter what language he's speaking and if you guys dont like it, just f**** off and watch other videos that are in "English" rather than ruin people's life. For me, personally this is one of the best reviews of the Peavey Valve King.
the valveking is awesome, but to get the modern type metal screamo crap kids are looking for you have to swap the speakers with celestion GT-12 's or Carvin GT-12's...its a beast without pedals. My Marshall JCM 2000 sucks compared to this amp. when i used it on my 1960A cab it was a whole different aggressive beast. Great amp. awesome clean tones, good for blues , country, rock , metal, and hardcore. very versatile. This has tons of distortion. no pedals needed.
@LukiSHG I know yo comment is a month old but I feel you on that point. I got a Valveking head with the hopes of getting a metal machine on a budget and it didn't sound at all like I thought it would. It has no death-metal bite to it, but you get a sweet rock tone though. The closest I could get to a metal tone I like was like Mastodon. I think I'm gonna trade it in and get something else...
I have a VK212. Is it normal that I have a lot of feedback when the gain boost is engaged? When I stop playing the amp goes intro screaming mode afterwards
These are OK amps. Its a cheap, very loud valve amp with good tone as standard. And its a lot better than a transistor or moddeling amp for sure so cut it some slack all you Marshall/Messa users (who paid 3 times the price of the Valveking)! :)
The Volume button doesn't do anything noticeable at all. This is a mediocre amp at best. The OD on it is sub par, the clean is really nice. Can't take a pedal worth a shit.
I think it's cool sounding if you already boost middle all the way up and just adjust treble, effective way to switch from a full sounding tight rythm guitar to soft solo guitar :)
@LostAngelsjk99 hell no, honestly, this amp is nothing good for more than a paperweight, its cheaply made, breaks easily and fits a very specific style, though ive seen people play death metal with this amp before, your better off buying a true metal amp for the money, you can get a bugera or like a spidervalve combo for around the same price and you'll get much more versatillity and its beast for metal.
I want to buy a new amp, i want to buy Marshall avt 50 but they don't it anymore, so i've see this video and i want to ask (because i read on a lot of forum that this amp wasn't good for metal), is it this amp good for metal like Megadeth, Metallica. And is the 212 very different from the 112?
I HAVE AN AMP THAT IS REALLY LOUD BUT WHEN I PLAY IT AT HIGH VOLUMES I NEED TO TURN THE BASS KNOB BELOW LEVEL 5 (THE MIDDLE) LIKE 3 OR 2 BECAUSE IF I LEAVE IT AT 5 THE SPEAKER CANT HANDLE THAT MUCH BASS AND IT STARTS TO "DISTORT" I FEEL LIKE I WILL BLOW IT. DOES THIS AMP CAN HANDLE A LOT OF BASS AT HIGH VOLUMES WITHOUT BLOWING OR DISTORTING THE SPEAKERS????
@rambache yes it does, i do not own this amp but i just ordered it, my froend often puts his on at least 5 volume (very very loud) and it sounds amazing especially!!!! when trying to use low gian to sound like AC/DC or some high gain for a metal/van halen sound
@MRWHITE3535 At about 2 or 3 on the volume or 8 or 9 o clock yes it starts to make a difference but not on 1. The recording gear he uses probably has some sort of volume normalizer on it but yes it make a noticeable difference.

@2112guitarplayer well I'm swayed to it more cause I use it to play in a hardcore/metal band, if you tune it right with a noise suppressor it makes a great tight sound which I thought for $900 new was great value. Sure there are better heads but for that price I was taken.
all you guys wondering: "how can he sounds pretty good?"... the answer is in his/your hands!!! A good player can make almost every amp and guitar sound amazing!! Don't spend your money in vain and practice, practice, play!!! There's no shorter way to buy with money!
Ok, very nice. But is better than Bandit 112, which I have and which is a solid state amp(combo amp) of which I am very satisfied? And when I say better, I want to say significant better. Like two times better, because this baby is also two times more expencive than my beauty.
Even though I don't understand a single word this dude says, I love his demos. He knows how to demo an amp. Like I said, even though I don't understand a word he says, I understand EXACTLY what he's trying to say with each control he's demo'ing. Great Job!

I play metal (my guitar is Ibanez MTM2 with EMG's), should I buy Valveking 212 with a tube screamer or a Peavey vypyr tube 60?
I will be using the amp for recording
drugdrunkker 1 year ago
@drugdrunkker
The valveking seems to be more ROCK amp. It can play metal too, but it has no agresive tone.
The Vypyr has VERY good distortion. I THINK it has an usb out for recording (the Vypyr 75 does, the tube 60, i dont know)
