Spite of the critics of some uptight comic freaks who considered it as a sacrilege that Dredd got shown without his mask on, but seriously: Who wants to see a movie with Stallone without to really see him and who never wondered who is really behind Dredd's mask? The movie was cool and flopped for no reason in my opinion. It had action, humor, speed and all else you want and expect from a good Action-Movie! So watch and have fun and don't complain god damnit! It's a Stallone-Movie in the end!!!!!

I myself believe that while Stallone may be the closest physical match humanity has yet produced to Dredd when he has his helmet on, if someone else had played Dredd, the movie would have been about ten times more emotional.

If they reboot this move, jsut keep this score and the first 10 mins of the film and add tons of blood and flying body parts. The you have a Dredd movie. This had FANFARE written all over it and could have made a good franchise. I'd keep Rico for the sequel. In the first film, let noone be a challenge to Dredd and for fuck sakes, keep the helmet on!!! I'm confused. Why do people not like Judge Dredd? Grant it, the movie isn't the greatest movie ever though the inclusion of the ABC warrior and the set design was absolutely fantastic. Besides, I think Stallone made a good Dredd, though I think it might've been better to keep the helmet on considering it's Dredd.

Still, I'm curious why people didn't like it.

The script is bad. The acting is exaggerated in most places. The overall story didn't really lead anywhere with very little substance or theme.

Great concept to make a movie about judge dredd. They just didn't execute it very well.

I'm glad they're remaking this movie--the original SUCKED. Dredd is tall and lanky, not short and 'roid-raged. I always thought, for the time it was made, Clint Eastwood would have been the perfect pick for Dredd (and equally fitting as Dredd is influenced from Dirty Harry and the character lived in the Rowdy Yates Block).

Not sure about Karl Urban being the new lead, but will definitely be better than Sly. At least Urban fits Dredd's height better at 6' 2" than Sly at 5' 9".

I like it as far as Hopeful Cyberpunk goes, it is a rare blend and element to focus on. Alot of Cyberpunk is grim and gritty, this had alot of Glory despite the major themes of the story.
