  • This is really beautiful.. don't know why my eyes are wet while reading this.. Whatever religion one belongs to, it should not restrict one from this lovely message..

  • SIKHISM IS AN ENEMY TO NONE,

SIKHISM IS A STRANGER TO NONE,

EVERY SIKH IS A BROTHER, A SISTER AND A PROTECTOR TO ALL FELLOW HUMANS- BUT AGAINST THE EVILS OF FEAR, OPPRESSION & TYRANNY.

THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE IS CREATED BY THE WONDERFUL GOD (WAHEGURU).

SIKHS FEAR NO ONE. BUT ONLY WAHEGURU.

    - SIKHISM & SIKHS -

  • WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA I love it

  • WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA I love it

  • Kam, krodh, lobh, moh ankaar

lust, hate, attachment, greed and ego are the ONLY enemies of Sikhs and we must fight them within ourselves. Even if someone kills your mother, Sikhs do not make an enemy of the person, Sikhs have fought only against tyrannical ideologies over our history in self defense and protecting the weak regardless of what religion you are.

Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji waheguru waheguru

  • Guru Gobind Singh ji would be like my Coach, menor, master, my Guru, who teaches me about universe, god, being a saint and a spiritual warrior.

    Being Human.

I bow down to waheguru ji.

  • lovely voice!!!!

  • how loving and true..... now that is realism

  • I could listen to this for ever. He lost everything and still said GOD is number one!

  • This is Awesome!!!

    thanks for uploading this

  • Wow. This is lovely, I am a Muslim but found this is beautiful! :)

  • i love GURU GOBIND SINGH JI hes ah lovely person . .....pray to him he will give you strength and everythings . .

  • Satnam Shri Wahe Guru

  • I also think that Bentee Chaupai is a lovely prayer. A nd very beautiful melody.

Iadmire Guru Govind Singh for his interior strength

  • WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA

  • kaam krodh lob moh aahnkaar these are da enemies ...

  • ...contd.

we belong to only one father - our Lord, our Waheguru regardless of what name we call him by, Ram, Allah, Christ, Khuda or any other name. This does not has any impact on his greatness, he is, was and will remain the same, the Supreme King.

"Save the Sikhs and kill the non-Sikhs" - in its true meaning is nothing but save all humanity and kill all evil.

Our Guru is great ... he named us sikhs because we will keep learning our whole life. :)

May babaji give strength to all :)

  • @rishun123 wahe guru ji bless u

  • ....contd

The term "Sikh" refers to the child of the God. In its true form a Sikh is one who follows the path of righteousness, who is in love with humanity and the Lord, who does not judge or question his existence, who unconditionally is in love with the Supreme King. We all are sikhs if we see it in its true form, in a humanitarian and spiritual form and not in a religious form. There is only one religion i.e. humanity and we belong to only one father - our Lord, our Waheguru, ... contd..

  • "Save the Sikhs and kill the non-Sikhs" --> If you want to understand the meaning of this verse you'll have to go back to the basics of Sikhism, Sikhism is not a religion its a path of spirituality that lets you closer to our creator i.e. one God.

The term "Sikh" does not refer to the one who belongs to the a particular religion. Guru Nanak Dev Ji said that everyone is a sikh, the word sikh means learn, and in human terms, the term "Sikh" is referred to the children of God. contd...

  • Waheguru !

  • Bole -eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Sonihaaal....... Sat Sri Akal.

Love you babaji. you give me the strength..

Humri Kari Haath Dai Rakha.. Pooran hoye Cit ki Ichha......Sikh Ubar Asikh Sangharo...

I am a Hindu but Proud to say I love and respect Sikhism as much as I do Hinduism.

  • Guru Gobind Singh was a fierce war king. He literally means that God helped him defeat his enemies. Why should mental enemies be different than physical ones?

When you can appreciate the world for what it is without trying to contrive it into whatever your idea of ideal is you become closer to your Gurus and God

  • @jaskaram dude just coz he picked up a sword against muslim kings who wanted a religious cleansing doesnt make him a king,if u read his scriptures u will know how highly he thought of hindus and muslims and how many times he asks his followers not to pickup a sword unless ur defending urself. and bytheway mental enemies are diffrent from physical one e.g fear is a mental enemy and not a physical one.

  • You are beautiful, every part of your being. Not only are you timely, you are Eternal; beauty inside and out.

You gave everything, and kept nothing, Still u took no credit. Reminded them to worship only HIM, not you. Men overwhelmed in understanding you, while kings n leaders hide inside themselves in compare to you.

How can there be one like you, when none else on earth can walk that path. Ur fabulous, indispensable, unmovable, unshakable, and impossible. Did I say beautiful? I LOVE YOU...

    WJKWJKF

  • beautiful, brings peace to a troubled mind and when in need of spiritual strength listen and sing along. i listen to it about 10 times a day

  • Chaupai sahib gives a lot of satisfaction

  • wow

  • This was Written By the 10th Guru, In a time of WARR!!, these are the enemies he talks about, these are not non-sikhs.

To prove my point further, take a look at the golden temple.

it has 4 doors, one for each direction, and this represents the equality Sikhism belives in. All religions are equal, and Sikhism preaches this. It is forbiden in Sikhism to convert anyone or to kill anyone, unless your life is in danger.

All hail the 10th Sikh Guru, messenger of GOD.

  • @pinglia Hes talking about the 5 evils

  • @pinglia Thanks for clarifying this so nicely!! Myself a believing Sikh and Admirer of the 10 Guru Sahibjis!!!! WaheGuruji KA Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh!!!!

  • he had no bad things in his mind to get rid of

ppl need to read history to understand

muslims in india and pakistan are all converted who pray in arabic - they pray in arabic cos islamics were trying to convert the whole of india - this is relevant

2 pandits approached guru tegh bahadur ji to tell him the mughals had said they had to convert - he told them to go back and tell them they'd convert if he did

guru gobind singh was given his father guru tech bahadur's head at 9 yrs old

  • Very nice song!

  • ||Hari Om||

  • Wahe Guru Ji ki Fateh Sikh => Hindu => Muslim and it is Peace and Love.

  • where i can download chaupai sahib ji

  • @freshmade100 go to beemp3.com

  • sorry but some of these indulging comments ignorant of history dont understand what sikhs were up against - there were HORDES of islamists invading through the north, taking iran afghanistan etc - why didnt they get india? cos of the sikhs who defeated the odds with both prayer and martal arts - the weapons created enabled the sparrow to fight the hawk - sikhs were surrounded and reduced to eating barks off trees by the islamic "rulers" - Bow to no one and let no one bow to you - this is sikhism

  • @timewilltell7 that is a great message : Bow to no one and let no one bow to you I agree with this, I am just researching on different beliefs...

  • Chaupai sahib gives a lot of satisfaction.

  • I hope this clarify matters, namely that part of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's prayer to GOD where Guru Ji prays :

    A. "Destroy all my enemies" "enemy" here refers to [as it is stated and clearly explained in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji to mean] the 5 enemies [also referred to as the 5 robbers / thieves that rob a person from having the opportunity to ultimately merge with the Light / GOD and they are :

  • i don't pretend to know how to define our higher power, i just know he/she/it is there. all cultures come up with different details, yet the message remains the same. thank you for the upload. life is good, and for all of us to be granted it is a marvelous reality indeed. that we can even still exist today despite our problems is testament to the power at work here. life will continue

  • I am a sikh child and i would like to say the 5 vices (Kaam, Krodh, Loh, Moh, Hankar) are always destroy by kirtan, path or simran!

  • a soothing poem for the soul .....

  • wow greatness

  • SIKH=LEARNER

  • Thanks for uploading this video

  • one way to defeat the enemy of today is through the power of love, compassionate, and awarness...the enemy of today will be expose by their words and bad deeds...

  • vary old song i think ... because these days Sikhs are not using such songs ...

  • @saragarhi2009 its not a song. its a prayer

  • wgkk wgkf

  • The five enemies of mankind, namely lust, anger, greed, worldly attachment and the ego have surrounded the whole world.

  • Thanks for posting my comment and note removing it..............

Save the Sikhs and ki the non-Sikhs....how does one explain that? Even if you say it is the SIkh ideas vs non-Sikh ideas....do you think Guruji would say something lie this?

  • @norsidhu I'm not sure where it says this in Sikh Scripture, "Killing of non Sikhs" This is the first I have heard of that. It does say Kill my enemies. But those enemies are within us. Destroy self to become self less and more of God. Destroy our egos. I think that is what Guru Gobhind means.

  • @amritsandhu - well said. The enemy is the negative energy the mind can create. By asking to destroy the enemy you can live more peacefully. Maybe some people can't understand this because they are obnoxious.

  • @amritsandhu u took it in wrong way ...." Sevak Sikh humare taariye , chun chun shatru humare maariye. it means ....make my Sikhs and servants successful and kill there odds one by one .....got it sandhu sahb

  • Comment removed

  • @anant14: I am but a learner, my views are irrelevant.

  • @amritsandhu To kill non-sikhs is not the same as killing someone who does not practice Sikhism. It means to abolish the non Sikh within. This prayer about the innerself rather than the literal reference to warship. the Manmukh & the Gurmukh.

  • It is the simple thing that the word Asikh means that the enemies of the guru ji who were his opponents in war, this does not mean the Non sikh religion people. As we all know that only the sikh religion allows people of all religions in its Gurudwara Sahibs.

  • @ozysikh Kill my enemies refers to the 5 Iner Thieves

  • Sikhism says: " Dushman marea khush na hoie, sajjna vi marjana"

Which means " Do not laugh at the death of your enemy, hence your friends will also die one day"

And Gurbani also says "Na koi vairi, nahi begana" : "No one is my enemy"

It is always humility which is promoted, not hatred.

  • @amritsandhu He is saying booreh nu na maroh, Buriaee nu maro.

  • @norsidhu No where does it say or mean that. All it talks about is the positives and our enemies - our negative thinking.

If you do not understand or are not sure, please do not post your absurd comments.

    Thanks

  • @norsidhu It never mentions anything about non-Sikhs or the killing of such. It says Encourage my followers to flourish and destroy my enemies also which it also states in terms of one's mind and thinking. Basically, it means to get rid of the enemies in one's mind, such as Lust and Greed and let those who follow on the path of truth be successful, as amritsandhu pointed out.

  • @norsidhu Save the people who were fighting against tyranny i.e his followers and kill the tyrants. Guru ji fought the mugals not muslims.

  • @norsidhu

true.. I don't think it is meant like that

as Sikhs we were taught to treat others with respect, and as long someone doesn't harm you..

  • @norsidhu By Kill my Enemies that refers to The five Evils.

    Lust,ego,wrath(anger),greed,attachment

  • @norsidhu ,

These are just my views : (i) Sikh means follower or student.(devotee of God)..... its was commonly used term in those days to denote all religions ( Ex : Kabirpanth also uses "Sikh") ........

(ii) Those Non-Sikhs (lot of Pathans, Dogras, Udasis were in Guru's Army) who have special regard for Guruji & his mission are called "Sevaks" (just like me!!).....the word "Aa-Sikh" only refers to evil persons (who torture True Saints ......not "Non-Sikhs"......

    Bhul chuk Maaf! WGKWGF!

  • @norsidhu ,

If you read Guru Gobind Singhjis life...... you can see that he cared for a lot for his soldiers.....one fifth of his Army was Pathan....he cared a lot for them.....they were not "Aa-Sikh" by any means.......

On the other hand.....those who persecuted true Saints in the name of religion(very common during Aurangzeb's time) were the "Aa-Sikhs".....

  • @norsidhu The Guru Granth Sahib Ji never tells you to kill non-Sikhs (unless to to defend yourself or your family)

  • @norsidhu I hope you are not one of those so-called "modern" sikhs who try to distort Gurbani to suit their whims. If you are so interested in the meaning of Chaupai sahib, why not buy a Sateek from the market by a learned saint and read it? Stop giving your baseless ideas that Chaupai sahib is not by Guru Gobind Singh ji. This bani has been part of Amrit Sanchar since Guru Gobind Singh ji's time. Do you mean to say all the Amrit Sanchar in the past was been wrong???

  • This is ever best ...whenever i feel down i listen to this prayer..it helps to fight against internal enemies

  • @norsidhu nevr nevr would ny of teh patshahs subscribe to religious and comunal violence and distiction they encraged langar(community kitchen)to disolve these difernces.guru gobind singji applauded his watre berer sikh who fed watr to th enemy soldiers aftr batle, sayin he hd truly asimiliatd teh teachins of teh gurus .guruji in the tru spirit and hukam of wahegru and the patshahs precedin him was the pioneer of seculrism may waheguru bles all with sanity peace and gud reason satnam

  • @norsidhu I don't think he is saying kill non-Sikhs, but he is saying, please sort out my enemies...this is the kind of thing somebody prays when suffering a great loss because ultimately God will always be on the side of the oppressed as is said in the Arabic tradition attributed to the holy Prophet Muhammad: '...fear the prayer of the oppressed because there is no partition between him and Allah (God)...' اتقوا دعوة المظلوم فإنه ليس بينه و بين الله حجاب

    Peace

  • Kill all my enemies (1:06)...One by one you kill my enemies (1:40)...save the Sikhs and kill who are not Sikhs (5:04).......Guru Gobind SIngh did NOT write this bani. People - why would he write something totally out of line an against Guru Granth Sahib's philosophy? The Sikh philosophy is to stand for one's write to practice their faith. Do you seriously think Guru Sahib would ask God to kill all who are non-Sikh?

  • @norsidhu By enemies he is not referring to people. His enemies are enemies of the soul and mind. i.e. things separating from God. Does this make sense to you?

  • @amritsandhu Yes and I am Glad that he asked this question beacuse I did not get that part either. it makes alot of sense to me .. also I do not know anything of your religion.. I jsut clicked on it because I am researching all beliefs in general.. I liked the whole thing but that part I disagreed with until I read your comments .. Thanks ..

  • @amritsandhu Yes, Sikhi is a spiritual faith that concentrates on the personal individual fighting the anger, greed etc. within themselves. in essence, the battle of the mind within...conquer your mind, you will conquer everything is the msg.

  • @norsidhu, your definition of a "Sikh" needs to be corrected.

  • @norsidhu To kill non-sikhs is not the same as killing someone who does not practice Sikhism. It means to abolish the non Sikh within. This prayer about the innerself rather than the literal reference to warship. the Manmukh & the Gurmukh

  • I'm not really practicing Sikhi but even I understood that part. I think they mean people who give you bad emotions pain in your life by doing Gods will you'll be protected from this. You'll be stronger and may come in contact with less pain. No they aren't saying to kill non Sikhs its madness for you to say that - they probably again mean the same things. This prey has been written hundreds of years ago - I'm sure people would've seen sense by bow IF it was controversial

  • @norsidhu By 'enemies' the Guru Ji literally means 'Evils.' That is what is meant by the translation. Examples of such enemies in this shabad include: fear of death (1:45), bad/inappropriate/selfish/rude/jealous/hateful inner feelings (3:01 and 3:23), anguish of all creatures (3:04), pain (3:20), negative thinking (5:04), all evil thoughts in my mind (5:05), evil passions (5:15), sorrows (5:36), poverty suffering and adversity (6:03), wickedness and pain (6:15) God Bless

  • @ac0unt Beautiful eh,,,,,,,,

  • The holocast and Muslim persecution of the peaceful Indus people is to my opinion the greates untold history of thus subcontinent.

  • Few days back I read about him it was so inspiring. He was a Saint , A warrior , A nationalist. Surprisingly our academic studies do not have lessons/chapters about him....consequently we didint knew abt him much initially.

    Thanks for uploading this video

  • if anyone can answer this it would be great...what is meant at 2:06 "you are lord of 14 worlds"

  • @pdhahan I think it is a reference to the Hindu tradition that says that there are 14 iterative time periods (known as Manvantara).

  • I am a non violent, white, Christian born atheist. This prayer and this Guru haunt me in a beautiful way. This man was of something else. I find his prayer comforting, even thought the words seem violent. Sass Ree Kall, ji.

  • @Lormont52

which words seem violent to you?

or is it a mirror of your own thoughts that are the violence?

violence is to violate someone and sikhs defended themselves from anyone violating themselves or anyone else

there is only one god, nameless, formless, without beginning or end, without fear without hate - the creator

    we are all one
