It's cool looking back a few years in videos at the progress TNP has made. I'm looking at getting a few simple steel targets and I think i might get the round plates that are in this video.
I have a friend who happens to be in a wheelchair... he calls me the other day and asks "Hey man, you wanna go Roll 'N Gun with me?" This was the 3rd time in my life (as an adult) that I literally crapped my pants. {:-{D}}
Any one Know how reliable those 22 coversion kits are? i am thinking bout getting one for a lower cost training system but ive never had a jam in my stag suprisingly so i dont want alot of jams a few are fine very few tho ....and actualy good havin few jams tho to help train yourself to clear a malfunction in a high stress environment
@yestragitaarbouw If you shoot responsibly it is some of the funnest times you can have. It also helps your technique in stressful situations. Run n Guns like these will also show you flaws in your gear system as well as your overall physical health.
Man you really hound those dudes! Good motivation and discipline builder mostly, so I understand totally why you do it. But just be careful that it don't backfire (no pun intended)! if your good at shooting you can shoot just about any rifle especiall ar platform without sighting it in.i never sighted my rifles and i shoot expert everytime . i also shoot my friends when its sighted for them at different distances. just have to keep doing what your doing and practice all the time
I love .22s.Not for personal defense of course but just for the sake of shooting some shit!! Ammo is dirt cheap and you get about as much recoil as you get on a stapler. :)

Where did you get those vests used in the video? I have one very similar but i cannot find another. The only ones i can find use velcro to hold the pistol holster on and i would really prefer a molle setup.

i just bought a 22 riffle and when i shoot at a long range i sometimes miss my target because am a little shaky standing up,(and i hate freaken missing!) is there anyway to be more sturdy while standing or am i pretty much screwed.
I am sure that smell has a nice tight group after grass week in boot camp. Hittin targets with irons at 500 yards in no time, its a great feeling. kill
I love it when guys from the US complain about expensive ammo, top line hunting ammo like federal premium, say in .308 goes for anything from £25 a box of 20 up to £30 or more come to the UK and I'll show you expensive ammo!- even more expensive is HD shotgun ammo but I'll not go into that.... :)

Another cool video. Yeah I understand about getting friends to go out and participate and a lot buy a small portion of the gear but just have little to no motivation to practice, have fun, memories etc etc. My bro and I joke many times that it looks like its just the "Smith" brothers as no one else showed up. Cool vid but couple comments. You are right with trigger control and breath control. But I think itd help a lot if you added one more discipline (which I learned in the military)....that is same Sight Picture. Everytime you shoot an a AR, you want to rest your cheek on the stock of course (correctly), and put the tip of your nose to the charging handle EVERYTIME. It looks like your using red dot which helps, but for marksmanship, training with irons would be a better training tool. That my $.02

i do this training that i cal fight your way to a rifle. ihave a hole dug in the ground and a box that i put my rifle in, then i run half mile to simulate running from enemy to to them, then have a target above the rifle box. shot that out, sprint to the box, get the rifle. so a reload. then shoot 3 more targets

Nutnfancy, Are you in Texas? I am in Arlington,VA. It is bad enough ammo is expensive..but I have to pay 25$/person/hr at the range and that's with an hour or so wait time.
Question, where can I shoot around here in such an open place? Is there a website that lists shooting locations? Is this public property? What are the laws as far as picking an open place and shooting? Ideally I would go out of the city to an open space like this one and spend several hours carefully shooting. Please advise.

We have a 25 yard shooting range at my school and on open days for parents and kids to want to go to my school I and three other guys use .22 bolt actions to shoot through polo mints (the hole in the middle of them) lol everyone loves it and its great practise not cracking the mint!!

and 22lr is VASTLY superior to not shooting at all.
And not all of us can afford an equal amout of a centerfire caliber and 22LR

Another cool video. Yeah I understand about getting friends to go out and participate and a lot buy a small portion of the gear but just have little to no motivation to practice, have fun, memories etc etc. My bro and I joke many times that it looks like its just the "Smith" brothers as no one else showed up. Too hot, too cold or some other excuse. i know its a bit different with you saying its the camera usage on your side but similar principal. Keep em coming.

Cool vid but couple comments. You are right with trigger control and breath control. But I think itd help a lot if you added one more discipline (which I learned in the military)....that is same Sight Picture. Everytime you shoot an a AR, you want to rest your cheek on the stock of course (correctly), and put the tip of your nose to the charging handle EVERYTIME. It looks like your using red dot which helps, but for marksmanship, training with irons would be a better training tool. That my $.02

@Domowoi2 In France you can buy .22 LR ammo for cheap. Start to 3€ the 50 rounds box... Up to 10€ for best quality HV ammo. 22 LR is very cheap everywhere !!

i do this training that i cal fight your way to a rifle. ihave a hole dug in the ground and a box that i put my rifle in, then i run half mile to simulate running from enemy to to them, then have a target above the rifle box. shot that out, sprint to the box, get the rifle. so a reload. then shoot 3 more targets

Nutnfancy, Are you in Texas? I am in Arlington,VA. It is bad enough ammo is expensive..but I have to pay 25$/person/hr at the range and that's with an hour or so wait time.
Question, where can I shoot around here in such an open place? Is there a website that lists shooting locations? Is this public property? What are the laws as far as picking an open place and shooting? Ideally I would go out of the city to an open space like this one and spend several hours carefully shooting. Please advise.

nutn, I dont understand the positives you talk about with these "drills". Your teaching some bad habits to some young shooters. Ive got weapons gathering dust becase I have nowhere to shoot them (not they arent actually dusty...they get cleaned once a week, used or not).

We have a 25 yard shooting range at my school and on open days for parents and kids to want to go to my school I and three other guys use .22 bolt actions to shoot through polo mints (the hole in the middle of them) lol everyone loves it and its great practise not cracking the mint!!
