Finishing the ends with a lighter isn't hard. Just pass the end of the bow through the flame holding the flame Vertically and the end of the ribbon vertically. I just run it up and down the flame 1 or 2 times really quickly. There's also some liquid stuff you can buy from Michaels called No Fray. It's cheaper to use a lighter though.

When you are burning the edges are you actually touching the ribbon with the flame or is it under the ribbon and heat just melts the ends a lil?

I still can't get it just right...and btw where do you get your ribbon from? I went to Michaels and spent $75 got 16 rolls diff. sizes, their stuff is expensive.

I buy all my ribbon online, usually in bulk on eBay. Definitely much cheaper than craft stores.
