  • AWWWW I MISS PLAYIN THUS GAME

  • you took tooooo much time for the lobby gltich.. so much time that i no longewr want to try it. o.o

  • Dammit i have 103 stars

i need to get back into my N64 games, like donkey kong

  • lol its funny how i discovered all of these glitches wen i was 3

  • Dr. Hax would be shitting a brick right now...

  • des is a scheiß ih hab scho besserrs gesehen !

  • des is a scheiß ih hab scho besserrs gesehen

  • this is too funny, but cool.

  • what are you talking about ?

it's possible to do the blj on a console

    it's not really hard

  • Who dislikes anything about mario?! Hes the most awesomest person ever! Sorry luigi ur bro rules you out.. :)

  • 64?

  • 64 people hit the dislike button. 64 people are assholes.

  • I remember seeing this way back in the day on TASvideos forums. My, how far we have come. This was the glitch that really started to push us towards 0 stars. Truly amazing piece of SM64 TASing history here.

  • @julian1000

And ironically, this was discovered (and played) on a real N64. Perhaps the last major SM64 glitch ever discovered through normal play.

  • @MrRobertZ Yes, quite interesting. It's actually sort of strange to see mistakes in SM64 play. I've grown accustomed to TAS and Myles over these past few years.

  • such beauty...

  • 62 people misunderstood the "dislike" button, they thought it meant: "dis? i like"

  • @Iced391 No mate.

  • nice im going to try that

  • I can't do first glitch :(

  • ha this waz fawkin funny yo XD air haed mario ha and i hav the fawkin game im gonna try tht :P

  • 5:25 WOMBO COMBO

  • Anybody see the star door at 4:11?

  • @21luigiigiul12 Yes, i See the Star door.

  • Time to get out the old N64.

  • @21luigiigiul12 too bad i don't have any :( oh well, got emulators...

  • Good job, N64. You have once again defied the laws of physics.

  • @RKO1492 Rofl

  • @21luigiigiul12 Thanks.

  • How do people find all these glitches? Is it just purely by accident or do people spend their days randomly jumping around trying to find these sorts of things?

  • I really badly want to try this, but we all know that'll never happen. :/

  • I did it but I jumped right next to the door with the pictures of the snowmen.

  • ive learned that you have to have version 1.1 of the game in order to do these glitches, if you have version 1.2 it wont work.

  • Have you tried to make a glitch when you are heading for the third floor? Something about stairs after you've opened the double doors. It is hard to explain it...

I'm not good at english i'm not from the right country. Sorry... i messed up....

  • @Jigsawjegg ive done it. its really easy too

  • omg lol i've got to try these!

  • and for the door glitch i find it easier to ab kick backwars. but nice vid, ive never tried the last one

  • Theres an easier way of doing the first glitch. make mario face the wall at a certain spot, use trial and error to find it, and just double jump. quite a bit faster

  • i just got the left side on my first try >.<

  • i got into an infinate glitch on the emulator one wet dry world by launching myself out of the cannon across the map to get into downtown and i landed in the back corner of the map and keep hittin myhead off the wall

  • I loved this game. I used to play it all the time when my Nintendo 64 was able to play games. :D

  • The infinate oofs is Mario hold his head up then hits his head hits celing.

  • I did this one accidentally. I spent countless hours trying to re-do it. Ahh my childhood.

  • 1 glitch u can go do the final level with 69 stars or lower

  • #3 SUCKS!

  • hahahahaha 5:30 till the end is superfunny..

  • @MrRobertZ u r awesome for discovering this!

  • very good man

  • Hahaha! That's freakin' awesome!!!!

  • Fucking inspiring.

  • @Kymario514 Damn straight.

  • @MrRobertZ DAMN RIGHTS!

  • Mario: WAGHHHHH SOME GUY IS BEATING ME UP INSIDE THE WALL!!!! lol

  • Some of it! The one I had used the same lives/Stars/power meter graphics as the normal game (as far as I remember, it's been six year), but the sub at 5:59 is the sub from my copy. I looked at a couple of other beta videos and saw bridges and objects I remember that aren't in my current copy, but also things I didn't recognise, which makes me wonder more than ever what on earth it was my mum got her hands on (and how it didn't totally fry my console).

  • @TechnicolorNina Nintendo has a development kit like other companies which is rented for a nominal fee and in this case N64 had special cartridges that games were compiled and extracted onto. Games couldn't be played without a special key and pre-published games couldn't work on normal systems. Actual games also don't work on dev-kit systems. It's up to the developers to keep their source code but often times it gets lost, damaged, or deleted like the original mario bros.

    nt tho

  • @InternetLad All I can figure is that maybe someone was fooling around and making a homebrew cartridge that somehow got released by mistake? I don't have the slightest idea, all I know is that what I had then isn't what I have now.

  • @MrRobertZ: I WISH. Aside from value, it was even more fun to play than the "normal" version because of the added challenge of keeping the game from pitching you into places that shouldn't exist. But unfortunately, it was destroyed when I was 16.

I can still describe some of the glitches, as well as a cutscene I remember that's not in the final game (possibly because it was related to a HUGE glitch), but the cartridge itself is long gone.

  • @TechnicolorNina Was it anything like the stuff in v=UjrVMC43QEY? If so that would've been pretty different. A shame it was destroyed.

  • @TechnicolorNina what was the cutscene of

  • ending it prematurely with a Pound the Ground about 2/3 of the way up the staircase would send you down through the staircase into a "wall-less" version of the main room (similar to what you show here) from which you could exit via the doors that lead into the hallway--but "exiting" the glitched main room sent you back into the normal main room. I'm curious if this works on your copy also, since the room I saw looked much like what you're showing in your first glitch here?

  • @TechnicolorNina

That's pretty crazy. I'll try it, but I doubt the "finished" copy of the game would be anywhere near that glitchy; I'm sure someone would have found it by now if it existed in the normal version. Do you still have your old copy? Beta SM64 screenshots and videos are ridiculously rare; an entire cartridge of it would be pretty valuable.

  • My first copy of this game (as I was told by a hardcore gamer) was almost definitely a beta copy (or a copy hacked by an employee for fun) that somehow got into circulation; I found close to 200 glitches while playing as a casual gamer (between ages 8 and 16), many of which I have never seen anywhere else and cannot reproduce on my new copy. One of these was the first glitch you documented in this video, but in REVERSE--doing a triple jump up the main staircase and (continued, sorry)

  • 3:19-3:24

    Thats what she said.

  • 120 Stars wow

  • why would you sit at home and do this?

  • will it work on sm64 ds?

  • Nice job... :)

  • stop hitting yourself mario :p

  • instead of apologizing over and over for missing, why didnt you just start the video when you made the jump? or is that too complicated for you?

  • @ballsdeep69ish maybe he wanted to give you an idea of how hard it is DUH!!!

  • are you trying to break mario's head or something?

  • N64 is the best system EVER

  • THATS WHAT AM TALKIN ABOUT..I LOVE IT

  • has anyone ever realized that mrio's face looks completely different in the N64 version compared to the DS version of this game? XD

  • when u said about doing the glitch on the left side is harder,i did ito my first try when i was trying to jump down

  • So can you do door glithes and do levels? If you can... That would be awsome

  • lol u broke the game!

  • hit walls much?

  • Only when there are no people to hit instead.

  • @MrRobertZ If it was played on real console how did you record it this good?

  • @rolask11 Recorded through a VCR. Hooked VCR up to computer's TV card with standard RCA connectors, captured with Windows Movie Maker on Windows XP.

    That's exactly how.

  • @MrRobertZ Oh I see. ^^ Have you learned all the glitches and secret places by just playing or via Youtube? o.O

  • @rolask11 you've obviously never heard of a dvd recorder. But that method works as well @MrRobertZ
