  • Is incredible, I am looking at better musicians, but they will never give the touch of a real Brazilian band. Don't get me wrong, this sounds really pretty, but they try to jazz it to much. I recommend you to hear the Elaine Elias version.

  • boy from Ipanema... sounds funny ))))

  • There are hundreds of published songbooks out there with both sets of lyrics. If they have music stores in your town, go check it out and let us know.

And I talked to your parents......they only named you Vinicius because they couldn't spell "Bob".

  • @pacoblancosmith uuuuH coming of someone named paco .. yeah, right!! believe or not, it´s your problem.

  • Wow! She plays well & she looks just like my girlfriend from the 80's!!!

  • very, very, sexy!!!!!

  • Ipaneeema. How come? There is no Ipaneeema.. The playing, at least is OK.

  • great diana krall

  • i see you ! :)

  • Love it!

  • I normally love Krall's music and her voice, but this time due to the fact that she changes the sex of the song I think it ruins the song both in term of musical harmony and feminism philosophy.

  • <3

  • diana je t aime

  • WTF boy from ipanema ... dont change de sex, caralho!!!

  • @FADIR2010 If you had any idea about what you are talking about, you'd know the original Brazilian singer wrote it for both genders... I guess it's easy to talk bullshit and criticize at the same time.

  • @SuperGoldenPony WHAAAAAAT?? Are u crazy!! I can criticize what time i want because im from BRAZIL!! Don´t say bullshit you!! U dont know nothing about this music, so shut the fuck up!! Never, never and never, tom jobim and vinicius de morais

wrote this music on both genders. NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!! My name is vinicius because of him!!

  • @FADIR2010 Check with your parents..... You may be adopted and that is not your real name.......because you obviously know nothing about this song. It was, indeed, written for both genders (that's means male and female in our language). So I seriously doubt you are actually from Brasil either.......oh, wait.....I forgot - that is how real Brasilians spell it....not the way you did. You should relax a little and enjoy graduating from 8th Grade this year.

  • @pacoblancosmith Both genders my balls.. This music was wrote by Vinicius de Morais and Tom Jobim when they were at a bar and saw that beautiful blond girl named Helo Pinheiro. Both sex? please ..

  • @FADIR2010 haha mesmo

  • ???? The Boy Form Ipanema ????

  • Hachi-Machi!

  • I gave this video a "like" but was bored by Krall's singing. Lots of talent, but no expressiveness.

  • There is such a wonderful thing as artistic interpretation across cultures. Music need not have a standard delivery that imitates the original lyrics and sound of another country. It's good to abandon provincial notions to better enjoy listening - and living, in general. Love this version.

  • She plays well the piano, her voice is great, she's good looking, but I'm sorry, Diana Krall makes all songs sound incredibly boring and chooses a very confusing tempo that just doesn't make sense. Yes you are supposed to improvise and be creative with rhythm in jazz, but it doesn't mean that any timing of your words and syllables is going to be OK. I love BC and I wish this artist was so much better so I could be proud, but she butchers all classics and nobody says anything (because she's hot?)

  • Anyway, Diana, it's not Spanish. It's brazilian portuguese. :)

  • Brazil! I Love You So....

  • Yes, Elvis Costello is a lucky guy! And a good musican for himself, that's a good pair!

  • What a voice - easy on the ears.

And what eye candy - easy on the eyes.

    ...Elvis Costello's a lucky guy

  • Cool version of a classic, thanks for posting!

  • for Tom Jobim... I love Diana, but she changes the lyrics! It was awful!

Try listen the true Girl from Ipanema!

  • @infocustv That's because she's a girl, sheesh!

  • this woman has a beautiful voice
