the sand dunes are about 10 minutes out of hinton and on the right side of the road you will see a sign that say wild horse lake go down that way k.now you will come to a y in the road now go down the right way and then unload you atv or dirtbikes and you are on your way from there :)

Well, you don't need one, but I would reccomend one. For the 125 only a 6 paddle tire, 250 and up 8-10 paddles. I didn't have one the first time I went, but I won't go back without one now.
@Slipdirtbiker Not bad at all. You could ride in the sand with a knobby, and it would be just fine. The paddle helps to climb a lot better and get moving a lot easier without trenching. My regular knobby has the knobs are in a U-shape on the tire, and would probably work ok. You don't NEED a paddle to ride sand, but it does make a huge difference.
@Slipdirtbiker oh i see. see all we have here is some dirt that i can't tell what it is, shale and bentonite. and when bentonite gets wet, you cant tell and it gets pretty sketchy :) thanks though!
may long in 08 was awesome! like nobody there and you got to see cool things like full alcohol banshees and sand rails! i never faught anyone for a go at any of the hill climbs even at banshee hill
Brule lake is in Alberta along the mountains. i rode their once on my crf 80 and hit log and face planted. thats when i sucked at riding after i had just started
Brule Lake is just outside Hinton, Alberta, Canada. It doesn't cost a thing to go there, but I heard they province is trying to shut it down. Too much garbage left behind.

hey i gota question and u wud no
I have a ttr 125, do u think i would need sand tires 4 sand or is it just a rip off ?
iamcali78 1 year ago
@iamcali78
I don't think that a TTR125 would have enough power to turn a paddle tire. I think that for your bike it would not be worth the money.
