  • hey wats up cubby,

i know you hear this a lot but i have to say it.. you inspired me to play disc golf and i just want to thank you so much. rutgers is my home course so hopefully i might see you there one day i'm a varsity pitcher so my forehand is really good but i got the technique from watching your videos.once again thanks

  • Ridiculous.... I have to get back to Sedgely in Philly... Do you know Tom "Snuffy" Snyder? He is an old friend who continues to get out there!

  • Thanks, I Snuffy at Philly every New Year's Day.

  • do you play at arlington TX

  • Never had the pleasure of playing at Arlington.

  • Very nice skip ace! =D Can't believe it's only after 7 P.M. =P

  • Thanks! An early Ace for sure.

  • I meant it looks like it's about 3 A.M. in the video when, in reality, it's only 7 P.M.

  • im still hoping to get my first ever ace... closest i had was i drove off a tee.. .threw it about 5 feet.. sad i know.. then i threw it in the basket from there

  • Hang in there and keep playing, your day will come.

  • great

nice ace at night time. how many meters are you from the target?

    your friend michael

  • Cubby, great job on the aces - just amazing. But I have a question, are you throwing for the ace every time? I was taught to throw for the base of the pole and then take a bird, cause if you throw at the chains you could skip off 30-50ft. If you do always go for the chains, does it sometimes hurt your score, by missing a long comeback put? Even though your putting looks good you must miss the occasional 40-50 footer, right?

  • I go for it in a way that will leave the disc close if I miss the ace. I throw skip shots whenever possible. It bleeds the speed of the shot as it skips off the ground and usually gets it close. I seldom use stable plastic off the tee or I would have a an issue with a long come back putt if I miss. Using overstable discs for the skip shot or an "S" shot usually putts me in a good position for the duece if I miss the ace. I agree with you that course management is the smart way to go.

  • if im playing a non-competitive round I go for the ace every time! You miss 100% of the shots you don't take :) If I am in a tourney, I go for the bird though

  • Good way to approach it!

  • new tees on that course?

  • Might just be the camera angle, no new trees.

  • go cubby!

  • Thanks!

  • awesome!!!!! love your vids!! inspirational stuff!

  • Thanks for yor kind words. I am glad that you enjoy the videois and that they provide some inspiration.
