  • THIS IS FANTASTIC! I'm glad to know you Malcolm and can't wait to see you play live. You've got a fantastic voice...absolutely great! :)

  • Good to see this! Jack Bruce is a tower of Art and feeling - his son will keep it rolling.

And, Corky Laing - give me a break - the guy's beyond REAL. He dices time up like a master chef. Finally, I don't need to say anything, except: Leslie West.

Every point is the center in a dimensionless context, and these dudes know it. They were born and will die...in the pocket. Peace...OUT!

  • Jeez. we come from the same neighborhood, but when did this all happen?

  • Saw the original looking forward to this one

  • I hope there's a NEW ALBUM coming from all of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im bass player as well , the jr play good but i thought anybody fit inthe shoes of jack bruce , but its great see something new

  • @MrTexmojo You are very right, he sounds like his dad, so if Jack is your fav, you have to check my little tribute channel jackbruceinmyheart

  • Let's get an album out, boys!

  • All right it's about time ,one of the best trio's to come out in a long time

  • Best stuff I've heard in years...WB&L were always too neglected. Amazing!!!

  • my son could play bass for these guys anytime.

  • I would def, see em..

  • Saw some clips with Rev, he seems like he's up to it. But would still dig seeing them play some WBL tunes !!! Powerhouse Sod, Why Doncha, The Doctor - it would KILL!

  • Just the four shows & then done?

I've got tix for "Mountain & Edgar Winter" in April.

Damn, I'd much rather see this line up. Ritchie Scarletti never was a good fit w/ Les IMHO.

  • Security was BRUTAL when it came to flash photography and video. HAWKS. Sadly this four show tour will go mostly unseen, but I can prove it happened cause I have some connections :) In a few days i'll get some interesting audio out there :)

  • I DO have to give kudos to the Wellmont Theatre for their stellar sound system. I was shocked. Also the union stage hands were FAST.

Leslie Corky and Bruce was AMAZING! Edgar Winters Frankenstein brought the house down. It was great. But W,B & L played so well. The Doctor, Crossroads, Theme From An Imaginary Western and Mississippee Queen all got standing ovations. This was NO ordinary "house show". This is West and Laings best playing in YEARS. Leslie was on freikin FIRE.

  • Will be experncign this tomorrow ight, here in southern NJ....Philly style baby.

  • Just got home from the Westbury, N.Y. show.

My ears are still ringing! It was nice to see young Malcolm tip his hat to the past and play through two 100 watt Marshall stacks. 12 inch speakers punished by tubes is what gave the old man his sound. That's the setup I have my brother (bass player) use.

  • @depper TOTALLY!

  • Was at the Westbury show last night. Set list;, WHY DONT'CHA, POLITICIAN, THEME FROM AN IMAGINARY WESTERN, CROSSROADS, 3RD DEGREE ( My favorite tune of the night) POWERHOUSE SOD, PLAY WITH FIRE, THE DOCTOR, encore was MISSISIPPI QUEEN. A very cool show. Corky Laing was worth the price of addmission! An amazing drummer.

  • Was it my imagination, or does westbury music need to be investing in a new P A system?

I mean what was with the vocals last night? cracking and fuzzy.... anyone agree?

  • Ive been to the Westbury Music Fair many times over the years. Last time Leslie played there, I thought their system seemed muffled. Something just wasnt right with the acoustics. Im very particular when it comes to tonal qualities however. Actually, I was very unsatisfied with WMF's sound system. Use to not be that way tho...

  • Did Edgar Winter open?

He's on the bill fro tonight in Montclair.

  • @SuperPlinko Yes - E Winter opened. Very entertaining. He had a young band playing behind him, they were tight and energetic.

  • WOOOOOFAAAAA This Saturday Night !!!!!. Malcolm's Dad is very much Alive and Kickin'

  • Leslie West in my top ten best guitarists of all time. Is Jack Bruce still with us? Or was it last year or 2 he passed? I'll buy the album, I mean 8track.....no no cassette. Oh screw it I'll buy it on Itunes for my ipod. I'd like to get it on "Quadrophonic Sound" LOL Seriously they sound great!

  • like to see how this shakes out...anywhere but Ridgefield PH though..ugh

  • Malcolm should see if Dad would let him use his EB-1. Same bass Felix used. Last I knew his Dad had his EB-3 up for sale on Rock Star Guitars. I wonder if it sold? In the promo looks like Malcolm is playing a DEAN Bass?

  • Dave: The show I caught was a free show. They did a 40 minute set about 6 songs. I remember: Politician, Crossroads, Play with Fire (Stones), Theme From an Imaginary Western, The Doctor. Spoke to and got autographs from all members. Didn't have a camera. Leslie's wife gave me a Mountain 40th anniversary card which has 4 guitar picks. Maybe the tour will get extended and hit your neck of the woods. They're playing Ridgefield CT. Will catch that show as I need to hear the full set. Steve

  • Caught them last night at the Orange County Choppers Showroom. Awesome. Highlights: Politician and Crossroads. Malcom sounds just like his dad.Thought I was listenig to Cream. Will catch them in January at Ridgefield Playhouse. Don't miss this tour.

  • I will be at The Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ on Saturday, January 30th.

Come on folks, sell this sucka out and lets PARTY!!!

  • Anyone else from NJ going to this show?

  • I hope to this version of the group on Jan. 31 st here in southern NJ.

  • yes thats right

    NJ end of Jan

    it will be great

they are rehearsing now for it

  • Dad should get him a fretless

  • I'm there, front row on L.I. Christmas present from a fellow Jackophile.

  • Just nailed tickets for them Jan 30 at the Wellmont here in Jersey

  • how ? I don't see listings on the official site, theater site, stub hub or any other site.

  • Hey janeythebrit check out 35 to 45 seconds in that's the SOD! Jack was at his peak with WB&L! Brought out the best in Leslie and Corky too! Saw them many times Radio City The Capital I think the boy will do just fine.

  • I just scored some tix for the Jan 29th show On Long Island NY. They are only doing 3 shows ( I think) , grab them while you can!! MOUNTAIN rules!

  • Damn! This will be so fxxxxkn coool!

I know that I kept my ears around for something!!!!!

  • this looks so exciting. I must see this band. too bad its not jack, but it would still be cool to see how this turns out. who knows, maybe jack will make a SURPRISE appearance ;]

  • very cool that West & Laing are hooking up with Jack's son Malcolm.. i simply wonder if Jack himself was at all interested......and will they do POWERHOUSE SOD (interesting to see if cute Malcolm can nail THAT one ).??!!

  • re Jack

    you never know

  • This could be very interesting...looking forward to the tour...kinda of a re-birth of sorts for West & Laing.

  • Why Dontcha is still one of my favorite albums.

  • Cool!

  • looks very promising...WB&L put out some very heavy music in the early 70's...

  • Wow....what a scoop! I hope they tour somewhere near where I live! Thanks for posting Dep....er, I mean....RedheadTR!!!

  • ok, but great it was!

  • Great! Thanx Depper!

  • haha this one wasnt me! :)
