I agree on the vocals being different but I think the lead singer was subconsciously worried he might inhale confetti if he opened his mouth too much. Not too bright on someones part having confetti drop while someone sings live although it did look nice. Still a great song after all these years.
i love at 2:32 where the camera man hears the organ solo, and he thinks its Robert, so he points the camera down the the keyboard. But it isnt Robert.
This version isn't bad, and I still love the song, but it still just doesn't have original feel that it had on the album. Its missing the light happy feel.

Yeah. They should have;
A. Dropped the drums. They do very little in the song and they emphasized them way too much in this performance.
B. Made the piano (did they even use one?) more noticeable. Everything overpowered it (the organ was a nice touch though)
C. Don't even get me started on the vocals! They need to enunciate more, not slur everything. They also didn't keep their volume/emphasis level very consistent. They completely changed the song by using different vocals and more drums.
The bass player sounds like Peter Cetera

I have to agree with you on that one. It almost sounds a little strained and held back, you know what I mean?
