Loved this clip!! I remember watching this show as a little girl..this show helped make me into the Disney-fan-atic that i am today..lol!! ºoº thanks for posting!!
Walt Disney, you didn't have to die so soon from lung cancer.Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana,Jonas Sisters, and High School Crap are the ones who should die,not you.If I had magic,I would trade their lives to bring yours back immortally. You were a genius who had so much potential and brought sweetness into this world.I love you....*teary eyes*
I was 12 when Walt died. :( I wish I had the pleasure to meet him but never really had the chance to see him in person. We miss you Walt. If only you saw what was happening today. The real Disney has gone. We just have Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers.
Hannah Montana has been cancelled. It would seem that's a step in the right direction, but...there are still such things as re-runs. We've got to do something...and we can!
I love this little credit thing. I remember every time I watched Peter Pan, I would watch the credits all the way through just to watch this. (And I also saw the making of Peter Pan) I loved it. Walt Disney truely was magical. It made my childhood so much better, and happier. I would hate to live in a world without Disney!
I totally, TOTALLY agree with you mate, TOTALLY, Walt Disney brings life and substance to this world, without it, this world is colorless IMO.....TinkerBell, is my most beloved disney characters of all :D
i would have loved to meet walt disney and wish it would go to disney back then now its just horrible i would have loved to live during the days to watch disneyland
Walt Disney is my hero. Without him and his wonderful ideas my childhood would have been boring and dull. I think every child should enjoy what he gave to the world. Disney isnt what it use to be not since Hannah Montana and High School Musical came along. I think its a shame that if you show a picture of Walt Disney to a child today they wont know who he is but they know who Miley Cyrus is. I know I've tried this test on a lot of children. Regardless of this fact Walt Disney was a great man.
that is so true i freiken grew up with the old movies i loved all of them i would even watch the old mickey mouse club and zorro with my grandpa then get in trouble to stay up late does anyone remeber that like back in the 90s around 10ish they would cut off disney channel and go back to the really old shows i miss those days
Yeah I saw that and her parents were there clapping for her after she was done. I know she is done with Disney now but when she did that she wasn't or just barely out on her own. Either way children were still watching and looking up to her. Now I ask you, is that really what a good role model should be doing? I think not.
@Saiyagurl I agree. It's funny because as a child of the 90s I certainly knew who he was. When we got the Disney Channel it came complete with the golden oldies, his looks into Tomorrowland, Frontierland, etc., and that special where Donald 'talks' by hooking himself up to a record player. We got to see all the great stuff and I think we were the last generation to do so, if only we knew then what we know now.
As much as Walt said he didn't like to be on camera before the shows, he seemed very natural once he got going. As to the flying effect, it appears that Walt is moving at the same speed the camera is panning down. My guess would be he was standing on some sort of camera boom that extended out from the camera lift itself. Just a theory though ; D
if you want see it, there's another one with this in it called "You Can Fly: the Making of Peter Pan". it was at the end of the golden edition of a VHS tape of Peter Pan.
You know,i believe he is one of the best people that ever lived.Without him,no Disney Channel,no Mickey and friends, and yes,for all you jonas brothers or miley cyrus fans, without him, well they would not be on your iPods right now.
He is my hero, because he showed to the world that there is such thing as MAGIC.
I know I'm replying a little late, but yes it does look real when he flies. That's because the camera is pointed upward, so there must be some kind of elevator moving him down probably, but the way they did this back then is amazing, it still looks so real to me.
Pause at 0:11, Walt isn't even looking in the direction of Tinker Bell lol...Looks like he's looking through her, and not at her lol.

That's why modern-day Disney Pictures is so far beneath Pixar now. They've forgotten to take the audience along.

Is this from the Disneyland series? Was there ever a similar clip with live-action Walt and animated Mickey together?
