THE HOWLING movies have a "hit and miss" selection of sequels. The second movie isn't anything like the actual novel from the book series. If anyone has actually read THE HOWLING II, they understand how different it is from the actual movie sequel. In the book, things actually carried over from the original story. In the movie version, it's a whole new story it seems. Either way, the film version is one strange trip! I'm not sure if I like it or hate it. It's one of those movies.

I start to look at what other YOUTUBERS have for best WEREWOLF films and I see a lot of BAD MOON-CURSED-GINGER SNAPS-A AMERICAN WEREWOLF in PARIS played to the music of NICKELBACK and think how sad that SHIT CGI and weak ass scripts has taken over older films from the days of my childhood. I liked DOG SOLDIERS if I had to pick a newer WOLF film

I've watched this movie twice and it's so Bad it's Awesome! I know one thing though while watching I felt like if they play that damn howling song again I would rip my ears off. The werewolves in general were funny because they were the easiest killing werewolves I've ever seen. And did these wolves pay the vampires so they can live in, no, dominate Transylvania? This is the kind of movie you should hate but some films are so bad they're good. The soundtrack was excellent (although it's the same two songs over and over), Sybill Danning is a gorgeously camp and sexy villain. Poor Mr Lee said it was the worst movie of his career. He could be right but I didn't have the nerve to suggest otherwise when I met him. Compared to the first Howling it is probably considered a travesty but as a pop-culture horror film of the mid 80s I love it.
