@ligerfires2 Don't knock it. These MKIV Jettas are pretty quick. Maintain them nicely and they'll treat you back kindly. Mobil 1 synthetic oil is a must and when you replace the water pump MAKE SURE TO GET THE AFTERMARKET UNIT WITH METAL BLADES (the OEM version is plastic and only lasts about 50k miles).
I recently bought a 2002, same blue color/grey leather interior/moon roof that had 101k for $1500. Every piece of plastic on the inside is breaking. The timing belt broke this past Monday. I'm regretting the purchase, even with the $1500 price tag.
