someone who makes music this beautiful is God sent. I am at peace and tranquility when I listen to Larry Heard's music. I wish more people would listen to tunes like this, society would be a better place.
To anybody who digs Larry Heard's music and uses iTunes listen up...Look him up on iTunes and when the page comes up, go to the bottom to the Podcast Episodes listing and download Manousos' podcast- a tribute to Larry Heard...It's free and it's amazing. Trust me, you will love the set he plays, it's a banger for sure..
In response to you profittlich, why is he such a big deal? Its for what he has contributed to the deep house movement for the better part of 25 years. Can you understand what a group like Metallica has done for metal/rock music? Can you see what an artist like Sade has done for R&B music? They were pioneers of the genre who opened doors for so many other artists. You say this doesn't thrill you, than maybe you should go listen to some high-energy trance and hop around like an e-tard.
um sorry i dont quite understand all this hype around larry...appearantely he did a great number on the development of dance music but still this doesnt thrill me at all. to me this is just boring lounge music (no offence intended)...probably because i am too young to understand but if someone is willing to explain why he is (was?)such a big thing id be thankful.
@profittlich some say that he was almost single handedly responsible for inventing what they call "deep house" nowadays. he was a great musician and actually produced musical tracks with primitive equipment at a time that the music was still very young and fresh. not to mention he has numerous house classics under his belt. Can you feel it and mystery of love are two particularly huge records. look for larry heard looking for love if you want to hear something with a bit more oomph.
in a world where originality counts for nothing.. larry Heard is a display of genius and integrity.. I like ti think that one day.. many years time, the future gens will look back on him as the visionary for music he was.
Yes, keep true to yourself! You really are a shining pearl of immaturity. Four infantile comments in a row. Applause!
You don't understand Larry Heard's music at all. And well, I don't think Larry Heard would be particular happy about knowing that people like you like his music.
And number five! The applause is getting bigger and bigger.
Again: I can't really understand why your profile displays "Larry Heard - Black Oceans". I think you should do some research on the history of House Music, you will discover remarkable things. I hope you won't be too disturbed...
Wow, finally a comment without any harsh insulting. That was hard, wasn't it?
1) May be. But it doesn't show. Btw, you have spent a lot of money on someone who sounds like a "tranny".
2) Thank you. Perhaps that effort has paid off a little bit since I made you post a comment without insulting me. And I find your lack of effort amusing: not much more than "piss off", "fuck off", "homo"... Afraid of letters, eh?
That's a comment I can absolutely accept and understand. No insults, differentiated, reasonable. Why didn't you post it in the first place?
See, I don't mind if someone likes Larry Heard or not. The question is how the opinion is presented. I'm sick of this insulting youtube-comments you find under so many videos. And that "culture" of commenting you have pretty masterfully displayed above.
I simply won't tolerate that under those videos I have uploaded.
Me too, and it's so smooth and well produced it takes me to another level (in what that seemed to be a shitty day). Thanks again for a nice track, Zulu!
Man I see you still doing your thang!.. Keep it going Larry..aka Mr. Fingers

Well, i suggest you have a listen to all of his older stuff so that you'll understand what a pioneer he was.
This track is nice but not as kool as his early stuff like "washing machine" & "Can you feel it"

Ye, and hiv positive one!

The following piece of information will not put your mind at ease: The singer is Larry Heard.
Your profile displays a track which has been produced by someone who sounds, at least in your neglectable because immature view, like a transsexual.
Besides immaturity, what is your contribution to society?
zulutron 2 years ago
piss off will you

congrats, you have just proven your immaturity once again!
