  • Fuck those bonobos! There JUST A DAMN ANIMAL in the forest to be shot by villagers as deer are hunted in our forests. 98% our DNA, well a banana has 50% our DNA, does that MAKE US 1/2 BANANAS????? Get it folks. You guys think any animals life is more important than another's? NO FUCKING WAY IDIOTS! Let the infants and children pulled from their dead mothers warm bodies crying and fucking screaming like a sissy. I just got back from the DRC and went along with a hunt and was given the opp

  • Vídeo recomendado: REVELACION NO EXISTE LA MUERTE

  • awesome footage!

  • dont agree with the music...makes it look like they are lesser than human, humans were just a mistake at this evolution...yet they are still here, and we taunt something better than us and even "enslave" em like we done to our own species, hmmm, that sounds like an ape to me, and an ape that is a mistake taking advantage over a catastrophe = Humans

  • Look, it's Patrick Ewing.

  • WTF :O

  • if you guys like these chimps so much then we can put you in a zoo with them.

  • i perfer bonobos to chimps. those chimps are dangerous, bonobos are so laid back, and enjoy sex as much as we do!

  • whats that thing on there bum

  • nice music. Who are the artists?

  • i read in wikipedia that we are only a kind of primate (so apes)

  • they should have human rights

  • Very nice video. Hopefully these types of video highlight how close we are to our closest living relative. The bonobo (pan paniscus) a beautiful species.

  • thats almost scary! i didn't know they were that close to humans... theyre mimics and behaviour... damn

  • aww, I especially like the one who comes across the other on the log and starts tickling him and playing with him

  • they so cute

  • Bonobos live in an area of the Congo Basin that is completely isolated from all other apes, most think likely due to the position of the Congo River. It is therefore absolutely impossible for Bonobos to hunt Chimpanzees because they simply do not occupy the same space, ever.

  • Just read that they go out on hunting parties to catch and eat chimps (14/10/08).

  • You obviously cannot read very well, they were observed hunting small monkeys, not apes, big difference.

  • Imhchina.You obviously don't read enough.

'Over five years of observing one group, however, the researchers recorded about 10 instances when it set out to hunt chimpanzees.

Each time, the bonobos silently crept through the woods on the ground, trying to get underneath a group of chimps before clambering up a tree in a sudden attack, the researchers said.' Globe and Mail-15Oct08; Mail Online-14Oct; Reuters-14Oct.

Read more and cut down on the arrogance-it stinks up the place.

  • You are right, the article does say that, but they are wrong. I had read the original article by Hohmann, the Bonobos were hunting monkeys, not chimpanzees. Chimpanzees are apes and do not share a habitat with Bonobos. The Globe and Mail has made a huge mistake and I will be contacting them. Sorry.

  • Ask them if bonobos eat fish which is healthy brain food.

  • I have seen footage of bonobos hunting chimps - it DOES happen. I saw it more than once on TV with commentary on Animal Planet.

  • for bonobos the question is if that is haunting

  • I hear bonobos have A LOT of sex

  • They get up to all sorts: boy on girl, girl on boy, girl on girl, boy on boy, adult on child, child on adult, sucking, genital rubbing, even a bit of penis fencing. Almost indistinguishable from people really.

  • so you can read wikipedia? good job

  • Well, I read about most of it in an Animal Behaviour module that was part of my Psychology degree, but yes I can read Wikipedia. It's really good, isn't it?

  • They don't mate with the children they mate with the females while the children are clinging on the female.

  • @joeydendron That's why bonobos are so great. :)

  • If there's such a thing as reincarnation I want to come back as a bonobo in this zoo or another similarly open range, carefree life.

  • Superb.Unlike our pet dogs or cats, which are wonderful,we tend to project human traits over their behavior,in order to relate to them. But Bonobos, when you see them, their facial expressions, their actions, there is no need for human behavior projection. You can instantly relate to them, our nearest cousins, because we behave so very similarly!Their thought processes are so undeniably like our own,it's beyond merely charming,it is profound! Thanks for sharing, and thanks for the great Papa Wemba song!

  • I totally agree with you, anthropomorphism is appropriated when it comes to apes: we belong to the same family! I love bonobos and apes and I am sorry that this kind of video doesn't draw more answers...

  • So very cute!!!

    Sweet!!
