  • I got the amazing opportunity to meet Jarrod after the show on Dec 26th!!! He is so cute and super sweet!! We had a nice convo about the show!

  • Jarrod Spector could MELT STEEL, just watch him sing Can't Take My Eyes off You.

    Incomporable

  • not sure what x24linz85x was thinking labeling this the JB Second National Tour cast... considering it didn't exist yet in 2007!

  • oh god jarrod (frankie). please don't stop singing :)

  • Nice transition.

  • john michael dias is the best Frankie.

  • @MrFrankygoestoboston: I agree. I can't understand why he's only in the 2nd billing - he's better than Spector, Young, and Bwarie

  • @kneal8 Don't get it either.

  • @kneal8 No one is better than Bwarie.

  • He is almost too pretty but that's alright.

  • it's a shame you can't find music like this anymore.. all of it's recycled auto-tune crap.

  • How much you wanna bet this was lip synced....

  • @beermike100 I'd probably bet a decent amount considering they're Broadway singers with beautiful voices who sing every single night and make a fraction of what pop stars do. This is easy for them.

  • Tommy: "I don' like it...'Walk Like a 'Man'?? As apposed to WHAT-a girl?!"

XD Great show: and the first song just made me think back to that line(:

  • thats amazing. very well done.

  • Jarrod <3

  • 3 people thought it ment I like dis video

  • christopher kale jones from the 1st national tour was better in my opinion

  • jarrod spector = awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jmfarru1200 I think he was working as an usher and asked if he could audition and the rest is history

  • Jarrod Spector is an amazing performer, one of my favorites Frankie's, and I've seen them all. Langorio was also pretty good.

  • I really love JLY, but I have to admit, Jarrod Spector is simply awesome. What a voice!! Wolfsky9, 64 y/o today!!

  • We got to work with Jarrod and Michael Ingersoll this summer. They were SO nice and it was really fun!

  • Jarrod is so adorable, and sweet. The best Frankie Valli ever in my opinion!

  • i dont like the guy who plays frankie..i like the one from the jersey boys london better!

  • The one is Toronto was better then Vegas!:)

  • Toronto cast was brilliant.

  • Years later, this is still the worst piece of programming on TV: having the Sopranos background shown while this group was singing. Totally nonsensical and ruins the video. Other than that, Jersey Boys is an awesome show.

  • Jarrod Spector has always been my favourite Frankie...just a personal choice.

  • @keithmarrmusic No kidding... and not bad as eye candy either...

  • I love you Baby!

    Awesome!

I live in a podunk area and will probably never see this but I sure love being able to check out these vids!

    Lived it!

  • The Australian Cast was also fantastic, the actors really looked like frankie valli and the 4 seasons, but the australian actor for Don was the best

  • the best chicago jersey boys ever

  • saw this in vegas on sunday!

  • Saw it in Vegas on Saturday. Rick Faugno is a BEST Frankie.

  • I miss Jarrod so much......He looks and sounds incredible!!!

  • I saw the show in Chicago, its Great!!

  • i saw them on broadway, and one of the ones singing was there (:

i love them with my life!

  • I've seen it in NYC twice. LOVE IT!

  • I saw the Jersey Boys in NYC last week. They passed with flying colours. The audience were amazed

  • omg the main guy has the best voice i have heard in a while!

  • They were on A Capitol Fourth last night on PbS, 7/4/09 and Jarrod was terrific and so were the others.

  • Jarrod was AMAZING on A Capital Fourth!

  • Ryan is good I admit, but our Canadian guy and cast are tops!!!

  • This was really clever.

  • they are actually singing this?? O_O

  • Yes.

  • he's good but have any of you seen Ryan molloy in the West End version? He's amazing!

  • Yes, I have. No, he's not.

  • Well, difference of opinion darling

  • I just saw this last thursday night on Broadway and it was the best show I have ever seen, Jarod Spector was unbeleivable and so were the other guys, I met them at the stage door afterwards and they were all so nice and grateful we came to the show, I can't wait to see it again!!

  • I saw it on Broadway April 18th. My 5th time. Great music! I remember bowling at the Four Seasons alley when I was a kid in Jersey in the early 60's.

  • my favorite frankie is joseph leo bwarie!

  • i saw him in Orlando, he was great!

  • mines Ryan Molloy

  • Jarrod's live!

  • will see him for 3rd time on 3/4. It will be my 6th show. I definitely find him to be the best Frankie. His voice just carries the show. But I thought the SF/Chicago group was really the pinnacle of perfection. Different, but as good as Bway cast

  • has any body seen the current cast with Jarrod Spector in NYC?

  • Jarrod steals the show!

  • Jarrod*

  • Jarrod is the best Frankie ever!!!!!!

  • so is John Lyod Young! can't wait to see Jarod on Feb 25:)

  • you will love him.

i like him better than young honestly.

  • Same here.

  • @sboogie55 He is hot!!

  • @sboogie55 i thought Frankie was the best Frankie

  • I'm going to see the Jersey Boys again! yay! check out the Jersey Boys London

  • What artistic purpose did the Sopranos serve? I think is detracted from the performance.

  • well basically it's the greatest tv show ever put on.

  • I doubt this is it, but Frankie Valli was in it for a couple episodes.

  • Comment removed

  • Fabulous show.!!!!! I want to go again.

  • Cory Grant is also amazing as Frankie now in Chicago.

    Everyone should see it!!!

    <3 Julie

  • I saw the original show in New York, it was great the cast was great.

  • are they lip-synching the four seasons?

  • No, that's them singing.

You can see them (well, 3/4 of them) perform live in Chicago now. It's an amazing show!!

    <3 Julie

  • I want to see this SO badly!! And the guy playing Frankie is kinda cute =]

  • Ahhhh...that end harmony gets me every time.

  • Excellent!

  • this show is incredible, i've seen it three times already and would not even hesitate to go again!

  • i friggin want Jarrod Spector!

saw jersey boys twice, and loved it sooo much

    they are an amazing cast!

    :)

  • I´m not american but I would like to know what´s this Jersey Boys all about, for instance the names, when Jarrod Spector is "Frankie Valli" etc. Great voice.

    Thanks!

  • It is a musical about the story of the FOur Seasons using their songs to help illustrate parts of the story. Jarrod Plays Frankie here in the Chicago company with Drew Gheling who was seond in line and Micheal Ingersoll who is on the other end. THe other Guy JEremy Kushineir was with the Chciago company but he is now in Vegas and Brian McElroy is playing the part here. If you think Jarrod is good you should buy the OBC recording with John Lloyd Young who is just amazing

  • Thanks so much! :D

  • Anytime! I love spreading the JB love.

  • Oh, my god. These guys are great. I saw them this month and I loved the show. Also, afterwards they had this contest. Whoever put in the highest bid to help people with Aids, Breast Cancer, etc. got to meet the cast, take a picture, and get a kiss on the cheek with a hug from all of them. And my mom got the highest bid, so we got to meet them. It was awesome. They are very nice and charming as well.

  • How much was the highest bid may I ask?

At the end of the show, they had bids for a framed sheet music signed by Frankie himself. It went for $500!!

    <3 Julie

  • they both honor the great frankie vallee and that makes them both wonderful. frankie is really the star here. their voices are merely instruments for him.

  • ok I'm drawing a blank here--who is the guy introducing them?

  • Joe Mantegna

  • we saw this show in Finland too and I was like "Oh my god, this song is from that Robin Williams-movie, I´ve searched that song for ages!"

    Luv them!

  • r these they guys in seattle now?

  • No, this is the cast currently in Chicago.

  • Saw the LaSalle Theatre production in Chicago on December 1st. BEST play I've ever seen...

  • This past weekend I had the opportunity to go see "The Jersey Boys" in Chicago. It was one very incredible show. The same guys that performed in this clip were the one's that I seen in Chicago. If you have a chance go see this fabulous show. You won't be sorry!

  • I saw the Chicago show yesterday(wed) IT was amazing. Best show I have ever seen. I will see it again for sure. I say this live and was amazed that is was the same guys. Un real......

  • i wasn't able to go to thier show but my cousin and her friend did..they loved it-said it was AMAZING...........i have loved Frankie Vallie for yrs and have all his cds........just loved that whole group......they r fantastic and i think it's great that they r remembered in and thru this new group of men..good going Jersery boys!

  • saw jarrod spector do the shoe in chicago 2 nights ago, he was great, whole cast rocked.wish the fans got off their hands more but the show was terricic. you gotta go if you like the seasons and even if you dont know them its a great storry. like a G-Rated musical goodfellas.

  • i would agree except for the G-rated part. they say 'f***' a lot!

  • Yeah, and the whole "Oh what A Night" thing.

  • he is so much better than michael longoria. i saw him at bway on bway that same day.

  • I agree he is better than Michael Longoria...but neither remotely compare to John Lloyd Young, who won the Tony and is the original.

  • He is doing exactly what he was directed to do. And it is perfection.

  • Jarrod is really good, but i have to admit... it kind of creeps me out the way he doesn't ever do any vibratto :P

  • yep...want to go to this soooo bad

  • Simple put, it was a pleasure to watch this video. It just makes you feel good. The words are great, the voices special, the choreography clever, and it's just fun to watch. No doubt the camera fell in love with Jarrod.

  • Far and away better than CKJ. I particularly like the effortless and subtle style, which is much more like the real Valli.

  • they do have talent, enuff said..

  • The Broadway cast is definitely the best...then the one with Christopher Kale Jones...then this one...I do like Michael Ingersoll however...I met him in L.A. and he was really sweet!

  • You've got to be kidding. I don't think that CKJ comes close to Jarrod.

  • i actually think, they were prttey good

  • You obviously have no ears.

  • I am a professional musician, have worked in the business for over 35 years and I know music. Jarrod can sing, but his voice has a different edge, and I prefer JLY's quality and ping. Sorry, I do have ears and I know what I like. You know we are allowed to disagree and not have to argue about it.

  • You said "And I don't think Jarrod comes closes to JLY". That is not worth arguing about because the statement is obviously a prejudiced one or your experience as a "professional" seems to have been wasted.

  • How is it an obviously prejeudiced one? I don't care for Jarood's voice. I find it dull and like a choir boy...I love the more full voices character of JLY. And it is more like Frankie Valli. I can hear, and YOU are obviously the prejudiced one.

  • I just want to know if you have seen each of them in person as I have? If so, you have a right to your opinion and so do I. If by chance you haven't seen Jarrod in person and are not near Chicago, then I am sure that you will be able to see him on Bway in the near future and then you will know that Jarrod's portrayal of Frankie Valli is incomparable. He by far has the closest sounding voice to Frankie then anyone that has played the role including JLY. (this is not a dis to JLY-just a fact)

  • Danni?

  • Ok, I need to chime in here. I think that saying Jarrod doesn't come close is ignorant. You may prefer anybody you want, but I have seen both Jarrod and John Lloyd, and while John Lloyd deserves all the credit he gets, Jarrod is right there. He has the looks, the voice and most of all the talent. To say "doesn't come close" is just plain ignorant.

  • I have seen Jarrod. HE is talented. He doesn't come close to me in terms of having that extra something special. He is serviceble. He is also, obviously, likable, but not, as interesting or "spot on". There is something dull in his eyes...and something too laid about about his performing.

  • What you need to do is "get laid".

  • Why would someone go out of their way to say something disrepectful about Jarrod? I have seen him several times and must say that he has been nothing less then outstanding each time. What are you smoking? Or are you just jealous over his success? Did he snub you in some way? It's just incomprehensible that you go on and on about him. You seem obsessed. He is adorable and I love him as does everyone else I know who has seen him.

  • THANK YOU.

  • No, it's not "ignorant." It's an opinion. Ignorance means you're not aware of something that's factual. Saying "I didn't know Jarrod was Gavroche!" when it's right in his bio is ignorant.

  • They are different, but CKJ is just as good.

  • they do, have skills....admit it..

  • i hate to admit it....but these guys can sing...good job...

  • these guys werent bad at all, still prefer the broadway cast though ;)

  • Best 4-minute performance I have ever seen. They were all so perfect in pitch and moves. Millions and millions of Americans across the country witnessed just how talented Jarrod and the rest of the ensemble are.

  • Although he is short, Jarrod is a handsome dude and he is obviously super talented. No wonder the camera fell in love with him on Emmy night and he basically stole the show!

  • whats the first song?

  • walk like a man

  • DAMN! the jersey boys came to my town and i just discovered them after they left! DAMN IT! AHadjfiladfidl;ai!

  • This is was the clearest and brightest video I've found. Jarrod Spector is just awesome. He has a higher purpose though, a spiritual calling. God bless him and the other guys.

  • Thanks for posting these clips.I really enjoyed their performance.

  • wow it's funny i've actually never heard of the jersey boys before.. but WAHHH after that emmy show that had... HOLY CRAP!! i LOVEEEEEE them now!! haha i don't know why.. but when they were performing "walk like a man" i thought the lead singer?? was HOTTTT hahahah XD

  • Google Jarrod Spector. ;-)

  • Hey Beck, I think you're missing the big picture. If they added a show like the Curran did they would still sell out. Smell the roses.

  • ...I've earned it? ;)

  • I have seen Jersey Boys at the Curran Theater in San Francisco twice, so I am extremely happy for this cast (the cast i saw)to be performing at the emmys. I absolutely love this musical and the people in it and hope to see it again! They do an amazing job!!! I just LOVE it!!!! Everyone should go out, buy tickets and see it!

  • what are the songs called?

  • Walk Like a Man

Can't Take My Eyes Off of You

    Who Loves You, Pretty Baby?

  • Somehow that doesn't make sense to me. They closed the theater in SF so the cast could do the Emmys and the theater is dark on Mondays. So if they wanted to use the OBC, why couldn't they do the same thing? I mean they don't have to be back at the theater until Tues. Eve.

  • The August Wilson is selling out; the Curran isn't. The top ticket price at the August Wilson is more than at the Curran. This was more cost-effective.

  • I tried getting tickets for the Curran, but ticketmaster would said that there was a problem sellig them.... I tried multiple times and bought my first pair of tickets for Jersey Boys through ticketmaster, but it is not even letting me know if there are any tickets to be sold on certain dates. do you know if they are sold out already or what?

    thanks

  • Wow, that sucks! I know they've been selling very well, but aren't totally sold out. Try calling the group sales number even if you're not buying for a group -- it's the only way to actually reach a live person in the box office. They can probably sell to you from there, or at least you can let them know. (I haven't bought tix for Jersey Boys online since I'm local.)

  • Thank you so much! I'll try that... Jersey Boys are amazing!

  • this rocks

  • so this isnt the broadway group with john loyd young?

  • No; they couldn't fly the Broadway cast to LA and back in time to make it worth it.

  • Jarrod Spector is right on with his vocals. WOW! Excellent! Thanks for posting!

  • OMG I LOVE JARROD SPECTOR!!! He is sooo hot and his voice is to die for. I've seen them 3 times and i can't get enough! THE SF/CHICAGO CAST IS THE BEST!!! trust me, i've seen the L.A. cast on T.V. the main guy frankie is ugly and cant sing at all. this cast is awesome. i love jarrod!

  • Don't get me wrong, I don't mean any disrespect to Jarrod Spector, he is terrific but Chris Kale Jones the main guy in the nat. tour is a wonderful Frankie Valli too. I've seen him four times, and he has never failed to move me to tears with CTMEOOY, MEAY, and Fallen Angel. He is a brilliant actor and singer. And frankly, I think he is gorgeous. You can't judge him just on the T.V. appearances.

  • im missing the sopranos so much

  • i was kind of sad when i saw this i think it should of been done by the orginal castt

  • They would have, but they wouldn't have been able to fly to LA and back in time -- so they went with the most logistically reasonable group, a company already in California.

  • Just saw these guys last week in SF! Loved seeing them again on TV.Thanks for posting!

  • That was such a great performance! I finally convinced my sister that we should go see this show in L.A.!

  • But it's not there anymore. ;-)

  • Are you serious?!? Oh well.

  • John Loyd Young and Christian Hoff both won Tony Awards, and won best the musical Tony, who the hell are these guys????

  • i believe they are the LA cast of the jersey boys production.

  • They're not. They're the San Francisco/Chicago cast.

  • People not eligible for Tonys because they weren't in the OBC? ;-)

  • Jetfan44, you obviously are too narrow minded to understand that this cast rocks.

  • Amazing performance. I loved every second of it. Just curious, does any one know if they had a performance on Sunday or what their schedule was leading up to their performance? Any information is greatly appreciated. THANKS.

  • It was canceled for the Emmys. They added an evening performance for this Sunday (9/23) to make up for it.

  • I dont know if it wasnt for the new stage that would be the LA cast on there and i am in love with them big time...but i do like the newest tony on there..lol because LA had him first...ne who...this frankie valli sounds really great tho

  • Jarrod's parents must be so proud...he looks like his dad!! love bethy from carambola

  • Hate to say this but its true. Jarrod Spector is a better singer than Frankie Valli. This guy is terrific.

  • Without a doubt!=] Ahhh I'm dying to see this show!

  • So Sorry for you that you've missed the SF cast because they are AMAZING.

  • This was the most entertaining Jersey Boys performance that has been broadcast yet. They were incredible!

  • You're entitled to your opinion, but you are dead wrong!
