  • that stretch that she does spreading out her body is a little difficult for me considering that my arms art not as long as her and i'm short too.

  • i find this very soothing and perfect for me. when i was 11 i slightly injured my lower back and i've been able to do regular workouts like cardio but what i really want is something that also helps me improve my back strength and relieve the stress at the same time. can't tell you how glad i am to have found your channel.

    I've had so many injuries from sports and everytime I do, I turn to yoga cause it speeds up recovery and it de-stresses you out too :)

  • just a question, and I'll be thankfull to have your opinion: whenever I do yoga, I feel uncomfortable at my neck, esp the back part. I don't know if it's because I am not doing it right, or I may have a neck problem. Generally, I've very skinny upper body, esp my neck, compared to my lower body. In fact, my upper and lower body are one size different. I was wondering maybe this has something to do with my neck problem, or it's just that I am doing it in a wrong way.   • Thank you for your very helpful yoga lessons. I was a complete beginner, very stiff, and at the age of 28 I never thought I would be able to do it. Your videos gave me the confidence, and now I am doing yoga at least 30-40 minutes a day :)

  • @AirDogStar You'll be wanting to gain muscle mass, so your best bet is to focus on core and stability workouts that will build up your muscles.

  • @soz4star it does not help you grow bones or anything but it can tighten your spine and neck muscles so that it holds u up more, ergo you aren't hunch over anymore, ergo you look and feel taller! :)

  • I have never been able to keep up a practice before, but suddenly after trying the 3 Yoga for Beginner's, I find I can't wait to get home and practice every day! I finish with a 5-10 min sit, and have found it much easier to mentally and emotionally center myself through the stressful workday. Thank you Esther for your generosity!

    @AniqaAlam: I don't get to practice until after 10pm, and find it helps me sleep more restfully. Many masters warn not to practice after midnite (don't know why)

  • Hi. Is there a yoga for heat conditions? I have congestive heart disease, arteriosclerosis, hypothyroidism, hypertension and diabeties. I did yoga for many years growing up, but have not done much of anything these past few years because of my health. I'm wanting to teach my daughter and am using your videos as a guide. But i'd really like to get my heart back healthy again.

  • Thank you Yogatic! I'm a 32 year old guy that has been involved in sports and working out most of my life but in the past 2 months I tore my PCL and have broken my wrist in 2 separate incidents. Needed something that was a good workout and low impact. Your yoga videos are keeping me from going crazy in my somewhat limited state and helping with my flexibility. I plan on sticking with it once I get all healed up as well. Thank You

    I train every day for weight loss, I either swim or do Tae Bo. I was thinking about doing Yoga for stretching and relaxing the muscles that I think I train too much. Does yoga also help losing weight?

  • I can't do that "plank" pose :( it's just too hard for me... Can I just skip it or maybe change into some other pose? BTW, this is a really great exercise and after doing it I feel that my back's a lot straighter :)

  • Hello Esther! I'm loving this. I wondered if it's ok that when I do the downward facing dog, my hands keep sliding forward. Maybe I have the wrong material mat or am simply not pressing into my fingers enough (I do press into my palms though). I would be grateful if you could suggest a tip.

  • This is amazing, really. Most exersize type things I try I'm always thinking "WHEN WILL THIS BE OVER?!" but with this, I'm shocked when seven minutes pass. Keep them coming!

  • It's not that difficult... you're supposed to do parts 1 and 2 first, practising those until you are comfortable enough with your strength to move onto part 3.

  • Good idea, I use to run and didn't stretch properly and now I have IT band problems in my left hip and get knots in my left leg. I could barley walk. Yoga and stretch helps a lot.

  • I have only done yoga once before but thought i would give it a try at home before going to classes. Even the warm up tired me out, its truely amazing and Esther looks so graceful! I kept losing balance alot it was amusing.

  • Can child's pose be done with the knees together? Im new to this and love the beginner videos you posted, the others moved to fast and didnt go as long as the breaths were meant to, and pausing the video all the time was hard. I will move on to those when i learn the poses a bit better :)

  • I used to do yoga a few years ago, and at first it was really hard for me too, but if you practice regularly you will surprise yourself when you can do it! :) keep going!

But if it is not, I request you a "real-begginner-who-never-make­-stretch-and-sport-since-a-whi­le_and whos chacras open when they want_". Anyway it's nice to see, but to do, I would risk to breack my muscles if I'm not done! Sincerely, I'm going now straight for part 1.
