As is the same with scene's. And Emo is short for Emotional, as the one thing Emo's tend to have in common is thier short temper, and over reaction. Yes not all Emo's cut, and thats not what Emo means. But most do, as cutting them self is an "emotional" release. KTB :)

I don't think you can make a statement that true emos don't believe in self harm, because, unless you wrote the book on emo, or know every single one in the world, you can't say that's true. I was emo in school, and didn't cut. I'm was rather bookish. My friend did however, and she was just as emo.
