Once when playing Fallout 3 saving Reily's Rangers quest and in the hotel (or was it the hospital?); I hadn't played long so I didn't know about how head injuries make the screen and sound go weird at times. I opened a door and found a crucified skeleton hanging on the wall and EXACTLY AT THE SAME TIME the screen goes hazy and I hear a loud sound.

In my opinion this game gets snubbed during all the "Top Ten Scariest Game Moments" lists out there. There is some really creepy things in this game. Way scarier than any resident evil or silent hill game when you plan on getting scared, so you subconsciously desensitize yourself to the jumps.
