As for the Alfond's treatment by McCain, he strongly disagreed with her at a Senate committee's meeting and left; he did not insult her, in fact, he pointed out the work she had done on the matter of American POWs. McCain explained that the Senate had the authority to authorize the committee's work and to terminate it.

Good point. Also, I think McCain, along with others, felt that many familis were being emotionally strung along with false hopes of finding long dead relatives. How can you move on from someone's death with someone coming to your door all the time telling you that they could still be out there, alive? However much evidence there is against the remote possibility of that.

If you're going to take a look, it has to include the people on the other side as well, right? And it sounds fishy, since some of the footage I have seen seems aimed solely at tearing down McCain.

Members of Congress are granted a certain amount of immunity from legal charges under Article I, Section 6 of the Constitution. You can't just go sic the police on him.

There isn't anything that gives them immunity. There is something in section 8 that says, "To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years."

There's also something in the amendments that talk about the government not being aloud to tax the citizens on the fruits of their labor.

The press needs to find out why McCain refused to assist in investigating the disappearance of Eleanor Apodaca's brother POW in Vietnam. Where does McCain stand on veterans issues. Also, why did he treat an MIA family member so poorly? McCain must answer these charges. Also, what was his stance on the Missing Service Personnel Act of 1996.

Where does McCain stand on veterans issue? He only uses the veterans label as a political tool. He does NOTHING for others who have served. He has voted against the GI Bill, voted against raises in wartime pay, against medical treatment bills and he was not involved at all when the filthy mess at Walter Reed. He said nothing about vets having to pay for their own food too. He's AWOL for the vets.
