  • about how old are they when they are in their 5th year??

  • Brilliant yes, but please do not forget the many other students who have passed through this wonderful school , and maybe have matrured and reached their peak further into their career.

  • perfect,i love classic ballet aa

  • she's pretty

  • i'm sorry but no technique for me for some reasons ! arms should not be behind a dancer( to help the turn )during the turns ! that is a base that we learn like in first class !

  • i am one of her students.i know what i am talkig about..

  • @yelenapankova then you know the truth

  • @yelenapankova Does somebody need a hug?

  • Ludmila Safronova is not in Vaganova any more..

  • @yelenapankova I personally saw her walking out of the Vaganova school recently, so my guess is that you are wrong. If she is not in Vaganova anymore, what would she be doing walking out of the school?

  • Lindas e perfeitas! Concentradas e disciplinadas! DIVAS!

  • que que isso genteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ? maravilhosa essa aula !!

  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so if the uploader of this video thinks she is "amazing beyond anyone's imagination" just put it down to personal preference and stop arguing about it. One thing I noticed though (and this goes for most of the girls, even the amazing one) is when they do a passé the leg foot is on/above the knee. And when they do the pirouettes it is lower, sometimes horribly overcrossed. I was taught to turn with foot in same place as a balance...Just saying...

  • she is very good but the description and titled hyped her up so much that she could not live up to expectations. "This 5th year student would have looked in the right place, taking class with the 10 greatest ballerinas in the world, and she would have been better than almost everyone in that class."? I wouldn't go that far.

  • She is very good, but the description may be a tad over-dramatic.

  • Yes, she is good, but really? Don't go that far that she is so specacular she is better than anyone else on YouTube. I mean, she has A LOT of things to correct. She feel out of every pirouette from fourth, and she only did a double. My point is, yes she has SO much potential, and is very, very good, but there are a lot of girls out there who are in 5th grade that can (these days) do 3-4 pirouettes without any effort. Thanks

  • do you have more of this class? love it! LOVE vaganova! It has been my dream to go there for years.. but I'm sadly not good enough..

  • Stepanova! So elegant and poised, and a gorgeous port de bras, she'll be a great adagio dancer for sure.

  • @camille32087 The best there will ever be.

  • @russianballetvideo

you sound like you are her mother.

  • @camille32087 is this a young yulia stepanova? amazing.

  • Why she is amazing to me has nothing to do with balances and everything to do with musicality, use of upper body, including head and eyes - these aspects are superior at such a young age, and she only got better as the years of training continued.

  • I was taught the Vaganova method. God never this good!

  • Calm down a little bit, she's not a martian. She's is pretty good, and it's okay to be amazed with that long balance at the beginning of the exercise, there we can see how good is her sensation of pulling the floor, but I sincerely think you exaggerated. If you continue watching the video, you can see she's not at all perfect, nor "beyond the imagination"... her technique clearly has still some things to improve, that's why she's still in 5th grade.

  • Yes, she's good. But I've seen much better dancers who are her age. And it was only that one pirouette balance that was amazing, she couldn't do it every time as it showed in the combination. Pure luck.

  • Great technique, but do all vagnovas have really low pirrouette legs, or is it just this class? I had a vagnova trained teacher and he would force my leg up as high as it would go, as would most of my other vocational teachers.

  • I think her concentration, poise, and delicate but thoughtful placement is gorgeous. I don't think she's "beyond anyone's imagination" by any means, but she is gifted indeed! The Vaganova students are ALL gifted. The difference between this girl and the others here is a few seconds more of concentration, balance, and extension - which can make all the difference in an audition. Very nice.

  • Were the teachers at the Vaganova Academy just as impressed as we all are? I hope she was taken very good care of, and also that she will receive many opportunities in the future. She is sublime!

  • I don't see anything beyond imagination here.... She is very good but all the girls in her class are very refined. There is not a big difference. Standard Marinsky quality as anyone would expect. There were many dancers who were not as refined at her age but reached great heights in their career due to their freedom of expression. The rest will be judged on stage.

  • Wow!! They're amazing!!

  • If I ever live to dance like that I will die happy

  • It killed me when she did a grande plie in the beginning, then a pirouette from that, and somehow MIRACULOUSLY stayed on balance the whole time. They're all so amazing. I can't wait to see how she will look when she graduates. She's going to be so fierce.

  • they are really good, but not beyond my imagination !

  • Is this Olesya Novikova if not who is she?

  • how old is she???

  • how old is she???

  • Maybe I'm disappointed because of the hyperbolic title. A good student, yes, but "beyond anyone's imagination?" Not by a long shot.

  • @Kethersdad Agreed...

  • @Kethersdad ya and did you read the description? yikes....haha i'm not sure about the 10 best ballerinas in the world thing

  • Yeah, she's really amazing, but all those superlatives about one person just don't work. You can't call any one single person the best...

  • what is that girl's on 2.05 name?

  • @larepimtb Pretty sure its Tatiana Tiliguzova

  • Thank you for uploading !

    Who is the teacher ?

Her technique is stunnig ,and she is beautiful . I think she is more pretty in her 4th and 5th grade ,and she has more confidence in herself in her upper(6~9)grades.

  • @vamaloveballet Lyudmila Safronova, the teacher of the best two students, Vaganova ever had, with Alina Somova being the 2nd best ever.

  • @russianballetvideo Thank you.

I know her teacher in upper grades is Safronova .

But I guessed her teacher in 4th and 5th grade is not Safronova .

    I also love alina .

  • @vamaloveballet I have seen all the great students of the past 20 years and those 2 stand out by a lot. The other girls are not even close and I have videos to prove it. Safronova taught this girl beginning in 4th, Alexandrova taught earlier.

  • @russianballetvideo Thank you.

I know her teacher in upper grades is Safronova .

But I guessed her teacher in 4th and 5th grade is not Safronova .

    I also love alina .

  • @vamaloveballet is this stefanova??incredible beautifull dancer, she has the technique, face and feeling to keep on watching only her while they are dancing!!

  • @vaganovafan I think she is Yulia Stepanova.

  • @vamaloveballet do you know where can I see her 6-9 classes?? I can't find them anywhere!!

  • @PaoAC9 There was a agagio of her 8th or 9th grade class ,but it was deleted now.

But If you search "Vaganova Prix 2006 ", you can see her lilac fairy of her 6th grade.

And if you search "VAGANOVA - LILAC FAIRY",you can see same role in her 9th grade.

  • the girl behind her was pretty good too.

  • the girl to the left of her is really good too ! and has better pirouettes!

  • Well....this is the product of the best Ballet Technique in the world...!

  • I saw Yulia Stepanova dancing the (soloist) role of "Fate" in Carmen during the recent Mariinsky engagement @ NYC Lincoln Center. She was fantastic!

  • Very nice.

I want to dance like that!

  • I would never be that good =(

  • I'm in love

  • Is this Olesya Novikova?

  • even i was in advanced but my technique isnt as good as them and i just learned these movements... amazing thousands and thousands of thumbs up for them

  • Is ishe Yulia Stepanova? I just saw Kirov Mariinsky ballet yesterday. They're on tour here in Brasil. I looked for her name in the cast and there it was in the corps of ballet. i saw another videos of her from russianballetvideo and I think she's amazing!

  • how old is she here?

  • @tfg200808 15

  • @da010594 thanks!

  • YEs, it's Yulia of course. And if you want to see this amazing girl it will have to be on-stage or on YT because she doesn't yet appear in any commercial DVDs - what a shame.

  • Love their Apollo tunics. Is this Yulia Stepanova? When are we going to see her on stage??

  • How lovely! And not just her! Fantastic dancers, all. Thanks for posting!

  • she has amazing feet! which provided great support for her movement

  • Who is she? In the beginning her face reminds me of Yulia Stepanova. Was this filmed in recent years? She has such amazing potential and already great balance.

  • @GymnasticDancer She does look like Yulia Stepanova.

  • Beauty of her is that she never shows us strong technicality, that she's just out there embodies the heart of this music, floating dream-like quality with subtle nuance of frailty of a mid teen age girl. She's the master piece of Nature.

  • Stunning! Her legs are so long!

  • @befany14 Great legs indeed! Many expressive moments capped off with some of the most beautiful chaine turns I can recall.
