They rode in Major General Troy Middleton's (CO US VIII Corps) jeep. As customary, Middleton gave up the passanger seat to Simpson, while he (Middleton) rode in the back seat. Interestingly, Middleton returned a few salutes received by soldiers as the jeep passed them, while Simpson did not salute. Thanks Ronan.
