  • ATI is for gaming, not servers.

  • i been in hursley ibm and went in server room

  • Comment removed

  • its easier to think of these cards as ppus (parallel processing units) as it stops the confusion.

  • 2 People work for ATI

  • @wileyboy2 it probably cant, 1. it uses unix based os 2. a gpu on one motherboard cant effectively form an image with another one on another board 3. almost all of the gpu power is for computing which is why they still have a vga port and no hdmi or dvi.

  • Why do people think this GPU is for gaming?

  • the point was using GPUs for parallel tasks because gpus have up to 100x as many cores as cpus, and i believe ATI is a gpu company. the only catch is nvidia supports their cuda platform while ati relies on opencl which requires open source development which is slow as hell, hence everyone will get nivida gpus if they want to see performance now

  • ATI must be really pissed.

  • why should they be, kiddo?

  • @ololh4xx Hard to say. It sounds like something I said when I was drunk, kiddo.

  • are you a bit too young to drink alcohol already?

  • can it run grand theft auto vice city from 2003?

  • @xxMuS1C4L1F3xx Yup, at about 800 quadrillion FPS 8P

  • @hankscorpiouk I guess thats ok. But not so good

  • A few youtube vidoes and I no longer think of nVidia as a company focused on recreational computing. Impressive stuff.

  • TAKE THAT AMD!!!

  • can it run Crysis?

  • Tesla GPUs! Whoa, I'd love to see what they do when the Boss is out!

  • but can it run crysis

  • @gamergeorge002 no this 50000$ worth of graphics cards all together can't run a simple game from 2007. no DUHH OFCOURSE IT CAN

  • @willeyboy2 Teslas can't be used for gaming bro.

  • @f123456789knvm It won't work as efficient but lol.. with this much power it doesn't matter what tasks you throw at it XD

  • @willeyboy2 they're not Graphics cards..

  • @willeyboy2 One, in 2012 crysis is still the most graphic intensive game in the world. What do you mean simple?

And this couldn't run a source engine game properly probably 10 to 15 fps on the source engine. 10 fps on crysis minimum settings. Its for running servers. Not gaming.

  • and they're still making Serial ports?

  • Awesome its more companies use gpu that will improve the next gen of Nvidia (or ati) and probaly the cost will drop

  • 18 way sli

  • @shaggythemaster i wish every company would do that. but if every big buisness did that microsoft might as well recall all the xbox 360s from 2006 to 2010 since they also confermed defects. its just they way things work now a days, companies are becoming more self centered. i mean MS you have to pay just to use there customer support.

a little off topic but i am sure you know were i am getting at.

  • @KingOfSand100 All the Nvidia cards including inside notebooks have performed just fine through their life span. In fact two of them are still working great.

  • @KingOfSand100 dude that has nothing to do microsoft already knows when r going to replace the xbox since day 1 the same way sony and the hardware has 1 year of life not more lol
