I just found the same GE as this at an estate sale today, and had to re-wire some corroded tracks on the circuit board to get it to work. It's a classic!

Classic recorders! Even though the GE is DC bias (GE made lots of DC bias), it sounds pretty good, as it handles the "S" well. The GE does look nicer than the Sony, which is "too new", and the Song had "Bad S" DC bias sound. Looks like you found a nice GE, I just wish they would have used AC bias more though.
