  • Nice shots, Lad. I would like to meet up with ye sometime for a nice hunting adventure!

  • Reckon the fart killed the second rabbit not the shot ha ha.

  • at 7:14 i thought for a second that the cotton bush in front of the rabbit was a big herd of rabbits

  • great vids m8 keep em coming......i take it that ground is finished off with the myxi for a couple of years ?

  • Hey Huntersvermin, I've always wondered how you got shots like of you walking around and stalking and such. Do you set up the camera, record, walk back, and then walk back again to get the shot?

  • @pharoah246 No the rabbit would be long gone by then, I actually have the camera mounted to the top of my scope for the shot the rest is filmed off of a tripod.

  • i have a gamo hunter .22 would it kill a rabbit or not? as i have hit some crows and it just knocked the feathers off it help me please!

  • great vid what gun set up do you use

  • thank you mate you hav helped me out big time appricated

  • Hey, I really like your videos. I was wondering...what caliber and model air rifle you use to take the rabbits?

  • could really do with some help i dont know nothing about air rifles i have tryed to read up on them just really carnt seem to understand i am a yung lad and i really want to go hunting but have only got 100 to 150 quid to spare on a rifle and livin in england the legal limits 12ft/lb would that even kill a rabbit i dont know and if so what would be the best gun to get for that price range and dont worry if i get meself a gun i will practice befor i go out shooting anything please reply good vids

  • @griffin1995123 You could try the likes of a BSA Meteor or HW97 and yes 12ft/lb's would easily kill a rabbit at 30-40 yards or more, try to get a scope in the range of 3-9x40 magnification as you won't really need much more than that for the ranges that you will be shooting at. Hope this helps kick start your ideas ;)

  • hunting is cool

  • hunting is cool

  • another good hunting vid

  • @GOODEY41 Thank you.

  • Hey you are the shooter that i have ever seen keep on making them. I wish i was as good a hunter as you but as soon as i pull the gun upto my shoulder the rabbits run off

  • @theconabb It has taken a lot of years to learn what i know, but you have to move slowly even when you mount the gun to your shoulder for the shot.

  • @HuntersVermin What Pellets do you use for rabbits and pigeons just out of interest and what pellets would you recommend for a 10-11ft/lb rifle?

  • I heard this tale of a bunny who went to bar and ordered a cheese & ham toasty, then he ordered a cheese and tomato toasty and dropped dead and thats what rabbits get when they mix their toasties ;o)

  • what do you do with the rabbits that have maxymatosis or whatever it's called?

  • really good vid thanks dude :)

  • I've been watching your videos, and I must say you've got style, I really enjoy them,

    keep up the good work.....LOL!

  • @48vdcwrld Thank you very much glad you liked them.

  • @jmillhitmaker Thanks they do taste a bit like chicken or turkey.

  • whats that big animal far right of the screen at the beginning of the vid?

  • omgggggggg thats awesome

  • im gonna try that im gonna fart when i see rabbits

  • a fart attracts a rabbit, i'm sorted i got a friend that never stops fartin lol

  • At what fps would it be safe to shoot at the rabbits forehead like you do with the MFR? I reckon about 1100fps or higher would do the job?

Also, 6:30 made me laugh my guts up!

  • @Oliver200101 My MFR is putting out about 832fps with a 21grain .22cal pellet but i usually prefer to go for the side of the head as it is a flatter surface for the pellet to hit, plus shooting here you can get away with an air gun of 12ft/lb 560fps in .22cal for a clean kill.

  • so what do you do with the diseased ones, are they safe to feed to your cats?

  • @semperfi253 Well i have never had any problems with feeding them to my cats but if i am not sure about one i keep it to use as crow bait.

  • @HuntersVermin ok i was curious because my grandma used to feed our rabbit dogs the rabbit brains if they werent in too badof shape and i had one of my better dogs die from one of the diseases that rabbit had

  • would a crosman phantom 1000x kill a rabbit ? it is 1000 fps 177.cal

  • @MatriiXxBullet i have a crossman pantom too but its a .22 cal it killed my first rabbit good

  • @MatriiXxBullet yes it would.no problem! Just make sure you have enough practice to be able to hit your target in the critical area, ie head

  • nice vid would a .22 at 950fps be good for rabbit

  • @cory2863 Yes that is more than enough power for the job.

  • @cory2863 Did you notice the one running through the woods while the third one was being lined up? :0)

  • i got a question huntersvermin do you thing a crossman Storm XT would do a rabbit hunting job with 1200 fps spring loaded break barrel?

  • @17vivo1 Yes with 1200fps it will have plenty of power for rabbits in ether .22 or .177cal.

  • Love ur videos keep them coming! :D

  • @die4alife Thank you.

  • Keep the videos coming mate, I enjoy watching your videos.

  • @1591david Thank you i'l try.

  • I wish I had this much land to shoot on.

as I have said before, you are very lucky to have all that free space.

keep the videos coming mate, a joy to watch as always.

  • what do u do with the kills?

  • @MrSaucysniper66 Well i eat some the rest i ether feed to my cats who love them or use them for crow bait.

  • Thanks for the reply.

    All the best, Mick

  • I am fascinated by your videos and haved learned a lot from watching them. I don't know if you've already explained your camera setup in a previous post, but I'd like to hear what the setup is. If you've already given this information, could you point me in the right direction?

    Regards,

    Mick

  • @mickp2268 I've sort of held off from making a vid on my cammera set up but its simply a JVC 330 camcorder with a 30gb hard drive memory that i mount to the top of my scope with a home made mount but you can buy mounts for bicycle handle bars that will do.

  • and also, how many shots do you get with each refill ? thanks.

  • @curruptofficial With the 30ft/lb model your talking about 50 or so.

  • i may have already asked this, but how powerful is your rifle ? Great vids by the way.

  • can you eat um when they got that eye disease

  • @Outdoorsman951 Well i have always been told that peolpe can catch myxomatosis but i wouldn't eat one.

  • Hi great movie. I have a question, the zeroing of the scope is so that you have the center of the scope on the kill zone, right? How do you now if the distance you are shooting is the distance that the scope is set for, and how do you compensate if the target is closer or farther away?

Can you make a movie about that please?

I just bought a Spring air gun, "Diana Mod.34 B" I havent even zeroed the scope but i cant stop wathing your movies. :D

  • @JustWantNAccount Well most airguners zero their sights for about 30-35 yards, below that range the pellet will hit higher and beyond it the pellet will hit lower, but you have to shoot at paper targets at different ranges to find out how much on your gun. I use a lazer rangefinder to help judge long range shoots but with practice you can learn to judge shorter ranges out to 35-40 yards by eye.

  • I noticed a fourth bunny running in the woods behind your 3rd rabbit just before you shot. You perhaps did not see him :) Since you said you do your own camera work, I finally figured out how you do it. Very ingenious ;)

  • @shbug01 Yeah i probably didn't see that one but there can be quit a few in that corner of the field.

  • 06:38 old Injun trick

  • By the way, anyone who's never tried smoked rabbit, you have not lived. MmMmMm

That and Red Squirrel. Fried is good, baked is okay, Smoked is perfection.

  • Are you sure you want to put the diseased one in with the food ones? Eww. I'd a buried him.

  • @PennaPlanum Myxomatosis is spread by flea bits not touch and i usually feed these rabbits to my cats who love them.

  • @HuntersVermin Cool. Yeah I went and read about it and it doesn't spread to people any way. Thanks.

  • Were we hunt in ohio we throw down 100lb a week of corn. And when u sit in the stand there will be 5 fox squirrls that weigh about 5 lb a peace

  • great vid as always ,, just want to ask you what do you shoot 177 or 22, and which do you think is best 177 for less arc in the pellet flight or 22 knock down power , i,m still looking for my first permission but and any advice would be helpfull. thanks..

  • @charleyBIGspuds1 It really depends on what you want to use the gun for as most hunters use the .22 while Ft or HFT shooters use .177 for competition and hunting. The .22 has more knock down power but the .177 with heavier 10 grain pellets are a good tool as well for rabbits and head shots. But both will put game in the bag cleanly with a well placed shot.

  • How do you not freeze to death. It's bad enough in England, bu you're up north!

  • @AdminiumWarrior Its ok if you can stay on the move to keep warm but if i am sitting in a hide for long hours i wrap up warm.

  • Are squirrels rare in Ireland?

  • @jerryk2198 It depends on where you are, as i see very few of them but most of the land i shot over is open fields, but i have heard they can be found in good numbers in good woodland.

  • @jerryk2198 No, but red ones are.

  • @AdminiumWarrior Yes beleive red ones are on decline all over Europe.

  • @jerryk2198 That's because the American grey squirrels brought over infections that ther immune systems weren't prepared for, so they only place I know of with a high concentration is some place near notingham.

  • @AdminiumWarrior Yes, we have the same problem in the US from squirrels imported from other states and Canada.

  • Hi has only three legs, the sheep, or is it hurt? 0:28

  • @Blackburn727 I don't really know as i never saw the sheep when i was there that day.

  • @Blackburn727 4 legs... but limping ;)

  • ok mate fair play, im in the process of getting a sony cam with night shot so we will see what i can get on cam for people to see like rabbits and rats

  • @666luckydemon Sounds good hope you get some nice footage.

  • Well done Dave. Im convinced your using some kind of filter to make Antrim even prettier than it is LOL.

The myxi kicked in bad round your neck of the woods I see.

Do you ever bother with a lamp?

  • @treeratbuster Its probably becasue i only go out when it looks nice but i have a few hunts to come that will show how wet it is now. The myxi seems to have hit nearly all the places i hunt again this year. I used to lamp but the ground is so wet i gave up as the rabbits hear you wading through the mud long before you get in range.

    Glad you liked the vid.

  • what kind of pellet rifle is that ?

  • @lox477 It is a pcp powered Theoben MFR in .22cal with 30ft/lb of energy.

  • Who's doing the camera work for you? They're pretty good, and deserve credit :)

  • @shbug01 Sorry but i do all my own camera work.

  • wonderful shooting

  • @see46 Thank you.

  • Excellent video, commentary and editing as usual, couldn't stop laughing at 6:40 :)

  • @1Equinox1 Thanks glad you liked it.

  • Hi mate, i just got my dads old rifle out and its a, mark 3 webley and scott rifle but i dont know if it's a. 22 or a. 177 do you know if they are any good? And nice vids :)

  • @WeBBaav Sorry but i am not sure but Webley and Scott where a good make in there day and the gun should have ether .22cal or 177cal marked on the barrel somewhere.

  • What air rifle are you using in this video? I know that it's a pcp but whats the model name?

  • @awz0rIt is a pcp powered Theoben MFR in .22cal with 30ft/lb of energy.

  • Comment removed

  • @HuntersVermin I'm thininking of buying an FX air rifle. Are they good or not? Do you have some experience with them, sorry for all the questions but i'm very intressed in air rifle hunting.

  • Each comment response I read that you wrote, I read it using your accent :D sweet vid!

  • @MrSourPatchz Thanks.

  • @huntersvermin where abouts you from mate me and a couple of mates from Donaghadee have been watchin all your vids and think they are great .We are wanting to know if we could possibly meet ya some day so you can give us some advise cause we ain't haven much luck please reply (he 97k,hatsan&an old BSA)

  • @philmcd831 I am from Co Antrim but i am very busy myself with work these days. Glad that you liked the videos though and there should be more to come soon.

  • cool video as usual and great editing!

  • @PaoloRusconi84 Thank you.

  • i was laughing my head off when you farted

  • With that disease hitting those rabbits, I would have 2nd though about eating the ok one, what if they have it but it's not at the stage that you can see it.

Does the disease have any affects on humans? Just wondering , but still great videos , hope I can make some myself one of these days

  • @oakland002 Yes there is a good chance that even the heathly looking one could still have Mixe. The disease is not supposed to do humans any harm but i feed the rabbits to my cats just in case.

  • Hey HV, what are the pros and cons for PCP vs single pump air rifles? Beside prices

  • @oakland002 I take it you mean a single pump pcp air rifle like the Webley Paradigm these aren't a new idea but they have got a lot better over the years but they would be heavier than a normal pcp as they need a cocking lever so you can pump the air into them. Other wise they are more or less the same as a bolt action pcp except that you don't need to buy a divers bottle and charging gear you can pump it up where ever you are.

  • Where in Ireland do you live exactly I'm thinking of moving there soon

  • @MrBbgunman I live where all the rabbits are.

  • Great videos i shoot rabbits for a living nice to see a gentle approach to shooting them.

  • @mjc211171 Glad you liked it, i don't get paid my self but i still enjoy it.

  • Nice video mate although I'd be reluctant to mix the mixi rabbits in with the rest of them yeuchhhh!

I heard mixi is on the decline now as they are becoming immune to it. I hope this is right because it's a truly horrible disease.

  • @Argyll1000 I agree it is a very nasty looking disease and a long slow death for any rabbit.

  • thanks for your reply its really helped me out because i really didnt no were to start..im going to look out for farmers to let me shoot on there land and for a gun..i will let you no how i get on..keep up the good work and thanks again..

  • @nicholl777 Your welcome and good luck.

  • I've been a big fan of your videos for a long time now. I've been air rifle shooting for years and I just bought my first PCP -It's a BSA Ultra Multishot -shoots like a dream and want to do some hunting videos.

Pretty please would you do a video on your camera setup?

    Thanks,

    eat4peace

  • Thanks for another great video!

  • @United89Dan Glad you liked it.

  • thanks for replying

  • Please check out my channel for pigeon shooting vids and pellet tests etc and view my pellet review vid as I'm getting payed 5 quid every 100 views! Cheers guys

  • That is a successful day if I might say so myself

  • @TheGarrrettHB Thank you.

  • brilliant vid do you only use your fac air rifle or do you have any vids of you hunting with a wee 12 fp air rifle as it helps the people who dont cant take rabbits out at sixty yards

  • @taidgh15 There is one of the rabbit hunting videos from 2011 were i use my BSA super 10 which is about 14ft/lb not much more really than 12ft/lb. Plus i use the BSA for the crows and wood pigeons as well.

  • Excellent shooting. And the narrating, presentation of your videos are, in my opinion the best airgun hunter/video presenter around. And very apparent that you love what your doing. I am always eager to see the new videos you make, mark my words, your name will be in the mouths of many generations of airgun hunters. Take care.

  • @leftymadrid Thank you very much for that nice comment and glad you liked the videos.

  • Great video as usual, great sense of humor!

  • @Benthiccracker Thank you.

  • You are a great hunter and a great cameraman/editor most def you can have a career in TV business.

    Good job mate!

  • @RrahimStruja Huntersvermin on TV now that would be something to see, Thanks.

  • really gd vid.im from limavady and can hear from your accent your from not far away.was wondering if you could give me some advise about getting into shooting i was wondering firstly wot we have to do in this part of the world to get a licence..i was going to go for a .22 or .17hmr rim fire rifle what 1 of these would b best for vermin rabbits..foxes..crows ect..and lastly why do you use an air rifle is ther any advantage to a rim fire gun..would b very greatful if you could help me out cheers

  • @nicholl777 A .22lr with subonic's is very good for rabbits out to near 100 yards but if you are wanting to take a fox you would be better off with ether a .17hmr or .22mag the .17hmr is the safest and most accurate as the bullet breaks up on contact. You need to go to your nearest Firearms Dealer (look Yellow pages) pick out the gun you like put a depossit on it and they will help you fill out the paper work. Including farmers letters for shooting permission etc.

  • What calibre and how many fps?

  • @ThaFreakyBoy98 Its a .22cal using 21grain pellets at around 832fps.

  • no i mean like do you do any lamping in the winter not for your vids

  • @taidgh15 I haven't been lamping for a long time, the problem is that the ground gets so wet here in the winter the rabbits can hear you slipping and sliding in the wet long before you ever get into air gun range.

  • nice vid m8 they all are good can you do a vid on your cam set up plz

  • @666luckydemon Thanks, i have thought about it but i think i'l keep that one to myself for a while.

  • Sometimes I think your the last rational thinking person that hunts with airguns on YouTube. Great vids.

  • @robinhoodman2 Thank you.

  • Very good video and shows how to identify myxomatosis in its maturity for those who haven't come across it yet, i leave them for the foxes myself.

  • @magpie307 Thanks glad you like the vid.

  • Spot on vid again pal.

  • @MrDiablo1968 Thank you.

  • I notice that you're quite badly plagued by myxomatosis where you are, i shoot often in England and to date i have never seen one, is it particularly bad in your area?

  • @Pelletputter It was last year as you could find dead rabbits lying here and there about the fields, but on the plus side it made the crows easier to bait and decoy down.

  • great vid, and great arse burp..

  • @MrWesbrown Thank you.

  • Another great vid' esp' the standing 30 yard bunny shot keep em' coming ,best regards .

  • @daystatesniper01 Thanks glad you liked it.

  • luv the fart noise

  • @soutwi Thanks.

  • love the accent :) where do you live ??

  • @rcspeedboat Thanks i live in Northern Ireland.

  • GOOD VIDEO PAL KEEP THEM COMING U DO OWT WITH FERRETS..

  • @barneyrubble32 Thanks, sorry but i have never worked with ferrets and my wife doesn't like them ether.

  • Another cool video, mate. Which scope are you using and how much magnification does it have?

  • @Jahazdaabba1 Its a Meopta 4-16x44 but i usually have it set at 6x.

  • I like the deployment of the stink call...

  • @keystoneprepper Glad you liked it.

  • Great video, as always. A pleasure to watch, and with your soft accent, a pleasure to listen to as well.

  • @01480Casey Thanks glad you liked it.

  • that was a hilarious "other noise" you used, nice vid =)

  • @Treebearhunter Thank you.

  • does maxmatosis (probably spelled it wrong) effect the eating quality of the rabit

  • @Fishkid88 I don't really know as i have never ate one with it as far as i know nor do i want to ether, but it can't help the taste of the meat.

  • Great video and funny. That mxymytosis is prevalent in the UK and Ireland. I'm surprised rabbits haven't developed more resistance to it.

  • @mrwiggles2 Yeah its odd that but i was told that its a bit like the common cold as new strain's keep coming out making it had to build a resistance too.

  • Thanks for another great video HuntersVermin . Your videos always remind me of the days before i took up Rimfire / Shotgun shooting , when i used an Air rifle for all my hunting forays. Keep up the good work mate.

  • @motormadmarc Thank you and glad you liked the vid.
