Eh, I know what the diff between overpowered, and the best gun in the game. I mean, People say that the ak74U in Black Ops is overpowered. It isn't it's the best gun in the game. This sawed off is a bit powerfull based on what I just saw. But, when i'm playing Gears I just spray em Sawed Off people with my lancer
the sawed off is incredibly balanced. It takes about 5 seconds to reload, has terrible range, and can be handled incredibly easily if you're using a gnasher or any other gun. if you get pissed off by people using it, then stop running up into people with a shotgun out.

Sawed off is a no aim gun. It takes zero skill, and if the noob misses with it they run away like bitches. If epic have to add this gun they should make it a pick up.
@INT3RV3N10N not too bad an idea but 1) cant use hammerburst or restro (restros lame anyway so no loss) 2) you cant pick your game type and 3) you ussually lose pistols or grenades during the match
@AZZA280 He's more over not using it because it's not fun to use something that's too easy. As for me, I don't even know how to do this good with this gun. I'm better with the gnasher. I find the one-bullet slow-reload of the Sawed-off really hard to adjust to. I don't see it too overpowered, but Muzza does clearly think it's too easy to play with. After all, with a game like GOW3, it's pretty fun to challenge yourself.
The sawed off is meant to be a defense weapon. How do I know this? Because I use it with the Hammerburst, providing support fire with the hammerburst. If someone rushes me, I end the 1vs1 quickly with the sawed-off than a long shotgun battle and get back to supporting the team.
Now the people piss me off the most is the people I kill using it incorrectly and rush you.
Those collateral you shown (most anyway) is how you use it right!
I put a few clips of the SO on my channel right after the supposed nerf just to prove that it didn't appear very nerfed to me. And everyone thought I was trying to show how much skill it takes to use when I clearly stated a billion times that it was just to demonstrate the SO's extreme ease of use. Sigh. But yeah, I traded GoW3 in like a month ago. Way too frustrating to play when your teammates suck, which they often do.

The sawed off is not that bad, the gnasher is an over powered gun it has the range of an asault rifle and no gun can go up aganst it, if you put the sawed off and the gnasher head to head you exchange, the only thing that is diferent from the sawed off is the spray but thats it, the gnasher is a sawed off but with more range, more power, a bigger clip and faster realod

The gnasher has absolutely nothing like the range of an assault rifle. If you hit someone at more than about 4m, you'll do 5% damage. It has a tiny spread, meaning you have to be accurate with it, and in shotgun duels you and your opponent have to dive and cover bounce a lot. The sawed-off has huge spread and the same gib range. Cover bouncing and rolling does nothing because it can hit you almost 180 from where they shoot. In conclusion: uFail@GoW3.

Thing is, gears never had "overpowered weapons", then randomly decided to add the insta-gib 180 degree spray noob gun in Gears 3. They never should have added it, period. I try not to complain about it, but it's so difficult when ridiculous clips like the one's you show happen.
No, it's not overpowered. It's single shot, has a slow reload, and no range. All you have to do to avoid it is use the retro or just avoid getting close to people.

The sawed off is meant to be a defense weapon. How do I know this? Because I use it with the Hammerburst, providing support fire with the hammerburst. If someone rushes me, I end the 1vs1 quickly with the sawed-off than a long shotgun battle and get back to supporting the team.
Now the people piss me off the most is the people I kill using it incorrectly and rush you.
Those collateral you shown (most anyway) is how you use it right!

I put a few clips of the SO on my channel right after the supposed nerf just to prove that it didn't appear very nerfed to me. And everyone thought I was trying to show how much skill it takes to use when I clearly stated a billion times that it was just to demonstrate the SO's extreme ease of use. Sigh. But yeah, I traded GoW3 in like a month ago. Way too frustrating to play when your teammates suck, which they often do.

ill be honest. I think people are just too whiny. oh no, this gun killed me in one hit because i let a guy get in my face. more gun options means you have to adapt. i like to use all of the guns in GoW 3, and if the sawed off wasnt in it, im sure people would complain more about the retro lancer than they do now, cos they cant gnasher rush.
and before anybody freaks out, i do occasionally use the sawn-off, deal with it, but i have a ton more kills with the gnasher.

The sawed off is not that bad, the gnasher is an over powered gun it has the range of an asault rifle and no gun can go up aganst it, if you put the sawed off and the gnasher head to head you exchange, the only thing that is diferent from the sawed off is the spray but thats it, the gnasher is a sawed off but with more range, more power, a bigger clip and faster realod

The gnasher has absolutely nothing like the range of an assault rifle. If you hit someone at more than about 4m, you'll do 5% damage. It has a tiny spread, meaning you have to be accurate with it, and in shotgun duels you and your opponent have to dive and cover bounce a lot. The sawed-off has huge spread and the same gib range. Cover bouncing and rolling does nothing because it can hit you almost 180 from where they shoot. In conclusion: uFail@GoW3.

Thing is, gears never had "overpowered weapons", then randomly decided to add the insta-gib 180 degree spray noob gun in Gears 3. They never should have added it, period. I try not to complain about it, but it's so difficult when ridiculous clips like the one's you show happen.

No, it's not overpowered. It's single shot, has a slow reload, and no range. All you have to do to avoid it is use the retro or just avoid getting close to people.

It may be easy to get kills with, but it's not like the Gnasher, chainsaw, Retro, or Lancer are much different. You can get a one-hit kill almost as easily with the Gnasher. Besides if you really can't cope, then just wait until November 8th.

And it only take more than 3 shots with the Gnasher if you can't aim or aren't using it right. Most of the time it doesn't even take past 1 shot, maybe 2.
