with the mouse connected to your xoom, youve got two cursors. for those of you who want one cursor, you can hide the windows cursor with a program called nomousey. unfortunetly ive got the same issue as xxitachixx06 on my xoom wifi. i hope there gonna fix that.
it keeps crashing for me... it displays the desktop and i can open some stuff, but when i click on any folders or open any files, brower with flash player, the app just stops and goes back to it's menu screen. Any idea what might be causing this? I'm using iconia A500 tablet.
@xXItachiXx06 Unfortunetly I don't have an Iconia so I really cannot test this. It could be that it is not fully supported... I recommend checking out the XDA forum for the Iconia and see if anyone else has a thread for this, it is a wonderful forum with people that are very familiar with the Iconia and will be able to really answer your question if not already have the answer.
@sleeplessninjas I'm sure its support cuz there are videos of iconia users posting videos of it running just fine. I'll check out the forums, thanks. =]
hey sleep, awesome video I have 1 question though, I want to use this app at school so I don't have to take my computer to school just my tab. can I run splashtop on my wifi at my house and then connect to the wifi at school and control my computer from there??
@darkdog4440 You certainly can do remotely, however you need to setup your home network so you can connect. Are you familiar with home networks at all? Its a little bit of work.
Basically your internet provider gives you a Public IP which you can connect to from anywhere in the world. IP is like your mailing address but for your internet. However when you plug it into your router for wireless and distribute the internet from your home you are making new IP Addresses for each of your devices
@darkdog4440 .. The world is not aware of these IP addresses only your router and devices hooked up to it. This kind of address is called a Private IP address.
So you couldn't enter your computer address and reach it because it doesn't exist outside of your home. What you have to do is connect to your Router Global and set your router to forward your connection to that particular private address. This is called port forwarding and its in the settings in your router
@darkdog4440 Just about every router is a little different so it wouldn't help so much to make a video, or I would. But Hopefully this points you in the right direction and answers your question. Please let me know if you have anymore!
Great Tutorial. I wanted to get that, but I already purchased the $30 "Logmein Ignition" and I'm disappointed with the performance it allows.
Oh and my Xoom is still crashing. Can you teach me out to unroot my Xoom and then reroot it. I saw a video with a one click method, but I can't find it.
@FlippinWindows Yeah logmein is not the best, but it does allot of the gruntwork for some people who can't (setting up your remote ip for your home computer and such, but doesn't warrent the pricetag for sure) I've never performed an Unroot but I can take a look at it and help you out.
This has been flagged as spam show
No support whatsoever and it does NOT work from any bigger distance then a few meters ..... they claim that anywhere ..... bullshit
