Great Video and Great Quality mate!!!!! Superb....You got anymore?? Ive met Tommy Igoe on a Few Ocassions now,Met kenny Ascher and Nathan Childers, Im a Musician and for Jazz it Dont get any better than this in My Humble Opinion!! Thank You for posting this Video.......
GENIAL! Otra versión de The Chicken del Maestro Weckl!!! jajaja! Muy bien por el hecho de que es un baterista quien dirige la Banda...exc video! Igoe es un genio
It can be done with proper technique. Have you ever been sitting in a chair and began nervously bouncing you're leg? Do that on the pedal, but have strict control over it. That's how you perform uptempo triplets with a single pedal. Here, Tommy played a sixteenth note triplet with an accented note after it (or you could say he played four sixteenth notes with the last hit accented - however you want to look at it).
I'm sorry but what a stupid comment this is. Is this a competition? I've seen this band and Tommy Igoe live in New York and if you did, you wouldn't be saying anything so silly. You can't imagine or get an idea of the power of this band or Tommy's playing from a shitty cell phone clip.
Why bring another great drummer's name into this music? Does it make you feel better about yourself, or more knowledgeable to throw names around? Can't you just enjoy a great performance?
lol. Well i can appreciate your point, but i think you might need to calm down a little bit. Some of your remarks are a little ridiculous. I don't know if your familiar with the word 'opinion' but as far as i understand everybody is entitled to one.
True, but you didn't express an opinion, because this clip isn't a competition amongst musicians. If Dave Weckl and Tommy Igoe were actually here, in the same clip, in some sort of knuckledragging stupid drum battle, THEN you could say what you said. Unfortunately, you brought it to the typical YouTube "my guy is better than your guy" place. And I, unfortunately-and I do mean that- had to respond since I'm so sick of it and it came out here. Sorry.
No worries, i do exactly the same thing lol. (as in- have a go at people who make comments like that if its something stupid) It annoys me aswell, Drum battles are only entertaining for people who don't really understand the point of music. But more to the point- do you know if Tommy has done an album with these guys that i can get hold of? cheers.

I'm not sure it matters since Pete Erskine pretty much laid it down with Jaco like none other can.
See? Comparing musicians is fun...;-)

I agree, Kennwood with Jaco did a great job though.
