I've always had a much easier time fighting X than Zero. I've never gotten a perfect on Zero whereas I can't count how many times I have on X lol. But...I've always been a sword person always have and always will so that's probably why lol.

I find it that fighting X is harder than fighting Zero. If you scale the wall and stay on the top for safety, X will actually come after you. Zero will just keep using the floor smash to try to get you down.

X may not be as cool as Zero (well, at least in some ways,) but he's stronger than him...

... then again, maybe not in more up-close-and-personal fights. Zero would probably tear him to shreds with that beamsabre, X isn't anywhere near skilled as Zero with one (as evidenced in X6.)

Megaman X5 has 2 different story lines (back when the story lines made any sense, X5 was made to be the last game) There is the "bad" storyline in which Zero becomes Nightmare Zero, after shuttle crash, and the "Good" storyline in which Zero lives.. whether he lives or dies is based upon how many parts of the shuttle you have, and how many times you died during the game. X6 made both endings of X5 to be pointless just to continue making money..boo capcom...not letting Inafune do what he wants.

heh. i remember i used to make 3 saves and play the game 3 ways. 1 with X, collecting everything, succeeding with the shuttle, etc, another with the same stuff, but collected everything i could with Zero (finishing Sigma with Zeron in the end), and the 3rd with failing the colony and getting the bad ending. dunno bout u, but to me Zero vs X is an easy fight, but X vs Zero... now that's another story. still all of it as fun as hell

Dude, upon my recent playings of X5, I noticed something weird. The X you're fighting has the X4 setup. The charge shot animation, the moves, and the coloring. For X5's Ultimate Armor, it has a lot more... BLUE! xD

@ofiucorlz in X5 you can choose to launch the shuttle even when its incomplete, that means you do not need to go through every boss prior to playing the fortress levels. Hell, you can even launch the shuttle immediately without even playing any of the normal stages.

The gaming market is all about consoles and games with level progression, insta-kill melee, unbalanced perks, overpowered killstreaks, and 360 turn sniping.

Still, you can't beat classics like X5 and below. I still remember the first time I played MMX (stupidly, calling it Megaman 10 lol) and becoming totally hooked on the X series.

That whole copyright infringement act showed me that they don't give a crap about the players enjoyment of their games, it's now about how much of a profit they can make. I definitley have to say megaman x was one of the most original game series ever, it stuck to it gameplay through 1-8, well x7 and command mission kinda did, but it had a great story.

Hint his name begins with W and made 8 robots for 10 games to kill the original Megaman

It was originally called the 'Zero Virus', then when Sigma fought him and got the bolts kicked out of him, Maverick Zero was interrupted by a severe pain in his head with the W (for Wily) appearing in his power crystal. Sigma took advantage of the moment and punch his crystal out with the one arm he had left. That's when Sigma got infected and it later becomes the 'Sigma Virus'.
