@DarkMan649 in the movie Mr. Han is roughly teaching 'Dre' a style of Nothern Shaolin. Some of the parry forms in this scene are actually Chu Gar. Basically what he meant, is that through repetition you develop muscle memory through exercises. Dre put on/took off his jacket a million times: therefore he develops muscle memory.....therefore, he is able to incorporate the SAME movements into defensive parries and punches. One of the oldest techniques in martial arts is muscle memory exercises...
