Kylie's video might be sexier but it was also released at least 40 years after Marilyn Monroe was famous...times were different...you can't compare the two. @calinfus80s I'm not judging Kylie Minouge. Personally I think it was amazing how well she handled having cancer and I know she's talented. I'm just saying that Marilyn Monroe is not a fat fame monster. James Dean, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe might not be gods but they are legendary, they've all been dead for nearly half a century or more and people still talk about them. No matter how talented anyone is nowadays, they won't be remembered like that. Maybe Michael Jackson but that's about it

And yes, they are remembered because they died tragically but they still would be remembered if they died of old age like Elizabeth Taylor.

i don't know much of her work but, this is a spectacle like pherformance, like mini movie glipse for entertaining, we never saw marylin do this performance live, with all those dance moves and all like in a movie. i don't know much of K's work so can't judge on her voice but,it was pretty nice though.fred astaire gene kelly. we never saw them performing live their songs and steps together same as in the movie,we saw movie scenes after step by step movie directing but they are still incomparable
