Dont get me wrong im a huge fan of megadeth but hammet is just a fas shredder, mustaine writes entires albums by himself, same as zakk, but listen to the stuff zakk creates, specially his ballads, is another level.

Kirk isnt much a good guitarist though metallica was a good combination till black album....Zakk Wylde is THE guitarist and by the i mean he is just amazing awesome cant find the correct word maybe it doesnt exist... but he is wayyyyy much better then kirk hammet ....hammet just spamms a cry babe and plays the same fucking scale for all his solos...Zakk Wylde is more then one scale and and he never makes mistakes its just like god is playing guitar for you admit it Zakk Wylde OWNS!!

well Kirk is good, but I don't think his technique is better than Zakk's.

However, he writes better and his studio solos are cooler.

Difference is: Kirk, like all of Metallica's members, isn't a solo musician and their technique alone, comparing to other musicians, let's face it, is not the best. But they sound better than anyone together as a band.

Zakk on the other hand is more of a solo guitar player and people mostly appreciate him, but don't really love his music like Metallica's music.

really...because i dont think that zakk wylde is in the rock 'n'roll hall of fame,in one of the most influential heavy metal bands ever,changed metal music,and has 10 consecutive billboard number 1 albums in any of his bands.so i think that kirk hammett should win automatically.KIRK RUELS...but i will have to admit that zakk wylde is a great guitarist...but i still think that kirk is the best.

i bet none of you guys who say Kirk is better even understand music/play guitar. Kirk plays triplets with a wah pedal, and all of songs sound the same. Though Zakks pentatonic runs do seem boring and repetitive at times, he is still much better than Kirk could ever be.
