@trealbright; Well the whole point of the mat is for you to stay on it. If you step off, ofcourse you'll get a pretty big deduction. The mats are for safety, after all.

@CherioOwnsU If they are for the safety of the cheerleaders, why not make them bigger? I know what it feels like to nail your routine, but but place lower than worse teams because of one step off the matt. Rules are rules, I'm just sayin' some are less reasonable than others.
