  • They are just psycho birds, they like hyper aggressive all the time planning to attack something.

  • Hey... fuck you tree

  • You can almost hear Stuart Larkin from Madtv... "Look what I can do!" LOL

  • The bird is right: trees are overrated

  • Bird preparing for fight with Jean Claude Van Damme

  • It even sounds like a raptor!

  • @Annihal101 after watching several videos about this incrediable bird i become more and more sure that its a direct descendant of the Velociraptor. I love this bird. Its so beautiful and so dangerous at the same time. If this bird can do so much damage then imagine wat kinda damage a real Velociraptor could do. Thats scary!

  • This bird has mental problems. LOL

  • I think it's just having fun, it's probably just bored.

  • let this be a message to all trees who talk shit about cassowary's

  • Lulz, it reminds me of those Asian dragon/lion dancers. You know those guys that get under huge "lion" or "dragon" costumes and dance around at Asian festivals making it move like, well, like the bird is moving in the video. XD

  • THROW A POKEBALL!!!

  • showing off his skills :P

  • Fuck yo tree nigga!

  • That thing's pissed off. While watching, I was thinking, "Holy crap, look how close it is! Get the hell out of there, grab a stick or something to fend yourself, he'll rip you'r guts out!!" And then I saw the fence at 0:49.

  • just as the cassowary suspected, that tree was all bark and no bite.

  • @jellytin Lol that's kinda lame, but then again I laughed pretty hard at it...

  • OMGs its semi retarded X) Its like my grandma mixed with Stuart from MadTV... Wicked. That bird scares the poopers out of me.

  • im not surprised its so angry. if i looked that retarded id be angry too

  • @donorleone lol

  • hmmm I think I just learned kung fu by watching it

  • Maybe he's practicing his attack methods for the all national Cassowary kickfighing tournament happen summer 2010 this year!

  • Nasty bird.

  • TenStarsplus !!!!!! What I think this magnificent bird is doing is either marking it's territory, or sharpening it's claws like a cat does!!!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!!! From a Yank who's got enough brains to never molest one of these beautiful but very dangerous birds !!!!!

  • @BigDuckKetterer good on you - pity most tourists don't have the same attitude!

  • This made a laugh haha. It's cute how he's attacking a tree.. xD

  • It's sparring

  • exercise , exercise :)) that the key of the succes :D

  • those damn trees....

  • I was just looking at the exsteam birds book and it says it the deadliest enemy so I just got my iPod and went on YouTube

  • Better a tree than not me.

  • bird thinks hes a raptor, lol

  • Supposedly, those things can disembowel you with a single kick. Looking at the temper of the thing (and the length of those claws) I certainly can believe that.

  • I dont think its kickboxing. ITS HAVING A F***KING STROKE! RUN!!

  • its almost like a raptor lol, mabye their ancestors were raptors

  • @yeahyeahyeahz2345 without a doubt they were.

  • They are I looked it up and saw something about dinasourse and it was about raptors and said closests relatives to them are ostriges and cassowary

  • they were

  • Those birds are pure lunatics!

  • This is why Cassowaries shouldn't do acid.

  • It's grunts are weird. It sounds like an enemy from a survival horror game.

  • haha..It's doing drunken style kung fu! xD

  • it's doing kung fu haha

  • It amazes me that these things can hurt people. Their kicks look like they have no range and couldn't get a person above the shins.

  • Their claws are really sharp and they can reach up to about your stomach.

I agree though, it wouldn't take much to grab it's neck and give it a round-house

  • They fly-kick you.....

  • There's a picture of George W on the other side of that tree.

  • LOL

  • i wish it was harmless so i can hug it

  • i'm with the bird, fuck trees

  • @layne24

    :)

  • hahahaha float like a cassowary - butterfly, i mean - kick like a ....

  • its a chocobo

  • @geodavis

It has a 5-inch claw, and runs through thick brush, chopping tree's with it's sharpened skull. It's more like turkey-satan.

  • @geodavis

    It's a velociraptor

  • ROFL! This fuckers gone crazy.

Dont you just wanna jump on it!

Screw mechanical bulls, lets get a cassowary in here!

  • these are more deadly then emu's

  • The dromaeosaurid spirit still lives on ;o; godspeed good cassowary

  • you better fear them they could disembowl you

  • Oooh, Fear the Kick boxing Chicken!

  • That 'chicken' could rip your gut open you realize? lol They've killed people on rare occasions.

  • lolhahahaha..

  • LMFAO!!!

  • oye ctm como subes es video pajaron culiao

  • CASSOWARIES... the documentary will air on BBC2 Natural World this thursday 19th Feb at 9pm UK time

  • That is one pissed-off chocobo.

  • "chocobo" thats fucking funny....

  • i eat cassowarries for breakfast

  • so... are cassowaries just all retarded? lol seems like very video i watch they are going crazy for no reason.

  • what really happened is that someone has a thin fishing wire around the birds neck and is tugging it hard every now and then to make the bird look like a fool. This form of avian embarassment is like an erotic movie for most north australians.

  • oh, yeah it does look like that. That's really stupid they do that.

  • Nah they just watch too many Bruice Lee films :P

  • BAHAHA! That's a good one. :]

  • I'm wondering whether it's being irritated by some manner of insect. Not likely, perhaps, but it explains the bizarre behaviour a little more...

  • hillarious mate :)i love australia

  • it's bad enough that this thing would tear shreds out of you, it would also look absolutely ridiculous doing it so you'd be screaming and laughing at the same time.

  • cute and scary on the outside, great dancer in the inside..lol

    good video ;}

  • This looks like aggressive energy release for an animal that is enclosed in a small area in a zoo somewhere (as you can hear the people and realize there is a barrier there). Animals confined in zoo's often exhibit aggressive, odd, and unhealthy behavior.

  • Cassowaries are awesome :)

  • The secret origins of hardcore dancing.

  • Chuck Norris future incarnation?

  • I can imagine that thing in a cock fight against a rooster.

  • The rooster wouldnt have a chance.

  • It's so adorable though!

  • Wow..... really hates that tree.

  • LMAO! thats awesome! i love the way it runs! and how it does a little jump every now and then! WICKED! i want one.

  • It's so cute!

  • I hope it's not as tough when it is cooked. On the grill or deep fried, Thanksgiving is coming.

  • the Cassowary is set trippin

  • if i saw that coming at me in Philadelphia, id climb the highest lightpost i could find.

  • Cassowaries-the only bird that has "Eye of the Tiger" as its theme song.

  • lol is he training 4 the contender????

  • What a creepy sound it makes. That thing's got Tourette's...

  • hahaha its spazzing out!

  • dis is da weirdest bird ever!!

looks lyk an emu raped a lizard....

    poor lizard...

i think it culd be my favourite animal

  • Beautiful bird! Reminds me of a Jim Henson creation.

  • You don't mess with the Cassowary...

  • it looks like it iz doing the tree

  • No wonder why the dinosaurs became extinct! :P

  • They are so funny.

  • That dinosaur kicked that trees ass.

  • Fluffy the cassowaries VS Korki the Seagul PAPERVIEW - Kickboxing match of the year $29.99 this was a preview of the training behing the scene order now for a fight of a life time. fluffy the cassowaries died shortly for nausea and dizzyness from mad cow disease

  • whats its problem, it just needs to chillout. Relax cassowary, have a beer.

  • that tree was on his turf.

  • Ah geez I really did laugh out loud, that was so funny

  • Love that roar. Only other bird that I've heard that sounds like that is the kiwi (of all things).

(Wishes somebody had that footage of a Kiwi roundhouse kicking some guys shin)

  • they're both rattites (or is it ratites?) maybe that's why?

  • are you sure those cute little birds (Kiwi) make that nasty sound?

  • I was watching Dinosaurs on the discovery channel and it said this beast basically evolved from a raptor, you can tell from its large claws that are raptor like

  • I was watching Dinosaurs on the discovery channel and it said this beast basically evolved from a raptor, you can tell from its large claws that are raptor like

  • They are aggressive because they are solitary animals and have a territorial instinct. They attack with a 6 to 7 inch long dagger like claw on their first toes mostly jabbing rather than slashing, making it more deadly due to the fact that it will probably puncture a vital organ. Emus are only taller, but weigh less and are not as stocky and muscular. Largest emu I have ever raised was 162 lbs, and largest cassowary was 218 lbs.

  • that turkey is al llike STFU U DUMB TREE lmao... i will eat you at thanksgiving tho :)

  • its a cassowary, not a turkey :P

  • That turkey is the Wanderlei Silva of birds.

  • Hahaha, that's a hilarious image! I'd personally love to fight one of these things armed only with a shield and a rubber bat

  • I like to imagine that there are forests full of these birds, and every single one of them is *fucking furious* at all the trees that get in their way.

  • Why aren't the Emu's as aggressive as these much smaller ratites? Now I know why tree trunks must be protected from them. WOW. The sounds are impressive also. Thanks for sharing!

  • cassowaries just like kicking stuff man, they are agressive brids, they dont have that big claw for nothing :)

  • I swear this is what evolved from dinosaurs. Very neurotic dinosaurs.

  • *shoots soda out of nose*

  • I think this bird has become neurotic from its captivity. That's a shame, it's one of the most beautiful birds on the planet for me.

  • its probably stressed in its enclosure thats why i dislike most zoos only sick animals should be taken to zoos and released when there healthy again

  • 90% of all animals in the worlds zoos are born in captivity and couldn't survive in the wild.

  • ahahha that one made me rlaugh real hard

    break dance

  • Cassowarie are awesome!

All it is trying to do in this video is get some fruit out of the tree! By knocking it out!

  • Cassowaries are one of the best animals on the planet, they are the most dangerous bird and are ratites. They also have blue skin and attack horses (can kill small ones), cows, and dogs (their enemies).

Where could you go wrong with a combination like that?

  • that tree got f'ed in the a

  • omfg i love cassowary birds. i had the honor to be within inches from 1. you should try it somr time, not watchin from the top of a pit.

  • No thank you! They scare the piss out of me! I live in the U.S. where no cassowaries, ostriches, or emus live! In the unlikely event I am ever close to one of these creatures, I hope I have a rifle!

  • There are lots of ostriches and emus here. They're mostly on ranches, but they do escape.

  • He's practicing for the big fight.

  • This is how these amazingly powerful birds disembowel their prey. Beautiful and scary. Where is Marja Tensen. This is right up her alley.
