did you do any research before buying your sharks? they get 14 feet long and it is cruel to keep them as pets. Your sharks will inevitably die before they can live out their full life. When pet stores tell you that they will only grow to the size of the tank, that is a lie. And any reputable fish store that cares about your success or the lives of animals for that matter would NEVER sell a nurse shark. Boycott the pet store that sold you these!

I first saw this thought it was horrible then paid attention to it more and noticed that it is a short-tailed nurse shark which doesn't grow big like its cousin the common nurse shark. That would be fine if this was a Short-tailed Nurse. The Problem is - It's not. This is a common Nurse - that is missing part of it's tail - so it will still likely end up being about 8' long (eventually).

Nurse sharks can grow to 14 feet you're going to need a 10,000 gallon tank!!! It may not seem like it at first but it's true your tank looks like a 500 gallon and that is small for a fish that will grow that size.

the nurse sharks I've seen, in Curacao, were 8-9 ft long and very heavy... We were allowed to pet them (very carefully!!! avoiding their mouth, which will suck your arms inside their bellies like one would suck on a drop of water!!)...These must be babies.
