If we look to history, persia had two parts where lived persian people. It were Mavaarunahr and Hurasan. Mavaarunahr is the place where now live tajiks there. But it was occupaid by turks and later by Russia. That is why Persia separated in 2 parts. Now even Iranian scientists agree with that, the pure persian is in Tajikistan. I mean not slangs, academic language.

Firstly, Tajiks are Persian-speakers. If anything, their Persian is more 'original' and less mixed with Arabic than ours in Iran. But, we understand each other easily. If you are interested, you can check out Tajik songs and even an old film on Rostam & Sohrab with Tajik actors on YouTube.
