That security officer is paid to protect the proerty, mitigate risk and reduce liability. This means protecting guests, visitors, and yes, even trespassers (including Ms. White). What this man did was expose the hotel to a lawsuit which goes against the very core of security work. The point of security personnel is to REDUCE liability. The fact he scraped up her arm for an unneccesary "detainment" showed that he not only increased liability but he may very well BE a liability.
