Sweden has the highest rate of successful music producers per capita in the whole world. The US comes second. All the world hits, mostly the same as US hits, are written and produced by Swedish or American producers. Producing elite FTW!

Max spent four weeks mixing "Oops i did it again" until it could be released worldwide and top the Charts.

Nihilistlmp, i disagree. i am of the opinion that every genre (including those that aren't my personal favorites) have it's MASTERS. in general, i'm also not a fan of "corporate pop." but i recently went back to check out the 90s & 00s hit pop songs that i thought were actually "great" to this day, by various artists, and about 90% of them were written by max martin.
indy may be more of your bag, and that's fair, but i think it's important to give any master his due, including this one.
Amen to that. There is a reason Max martin songs are popular, and many producers try to imitate him and never quite make it, so he must be doing something right. I would compare him to Phil Spector, Holland-Dozier-Holland, Stock Aitken and Waterman or ABBA; hit makers that were looked down upon by "serious" music press at the time, but whose songs have stood the test of time and are now respected by many as creators of well-crafted pop classics. There are good songs and bad ones in every genre.
Max is genius, he always was. So many great pop anthems, I just don't know other songwriters who managed not to stop creating really successful music over the world since the begining of 90s till nowadays. Currently almost only swedish producers left who still can do qualitative pop-music.

This song was originally written for 5ive (the group at 4:42) but the song was later assigned to Britney Spears which just goes to prove that NONE of these singers would have the success they have now if it weren't for amazing producers like Denniz PoP and Max Martin.
The only problem with Max Martin is his specialty is Bubblegum pop which for all intensive purposes is disposable pop. He's great if you want spur of the moment hits, but none of his songs will stand the test of time.
Buddy, as long as the WORLD still remembers names like Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears and N'Sync, Max Martin and the late Denniz PoP will be recognized and remembered as the greatest music producers in history.

in the 00s and now, it seems to lack a max martin/pete waterman figurehead to carry pop music into the next decade onwards.
