@diezfrancis Yes,There aren't belted notes.Her voice is very beautiful ,beacuse she doesn't belt high notes or scream! Poor belting technique make her voice become ugly! She should impove her belting technique.When
she masters good belting technique,her high notes will become beautiful like mariah,whitney ,sohyang,celine

The answer is still NO, even the most well trained male and female opera singer's cannot belt beyond f#4 for females and g#4 for males without mixing

@Breniznit What the heck~~~~ xD I really don't get you~~~ you can sing right??? Maybe you are using mixed voice too much that you'll just say that all would use that technique for the upper keys... If only you could go inside or feel those people's voice box or mine perhaps... you would know that we don't use Mixed voice... As for me, As much as I want to learn how to use mixed voice, I really can't because my voice has been molded as to how I go for the high notes already...

And opera singers don't use mixed voice, they focus more on headvoice~~~ I really that you are just showing off without the knowledge of music... @Breniznit Heyp... Is Sohyang a classical singer??? because I can see through her techniques =D Her voice is somewhat weaker on low notes and more powerful on high notes... I know why... I also use this kind of technique because my falsetto is as powerful as my real voice... Rachelle Anne Go uses her Headvoice like Sohyang too... watch this, Rachelle Anne Go - Someone Like You" and "Forever And A Day" were she uses her headvoice... the difference is that Rachelle shifted to chest hitting F5

@Breniznit I can also demonstrate to you my chest voice and falsetto through a video clip... is that okay??? =D Because I would also like to back it up with facts that we can sing in full chest voice while hitting high notes aswell as a powerful falsetto or headvoice for male and female singers... @bxiaiao Sohyang is using a very powerful Head Voice. I already know why she could hit those notes without less strain. =D I know because I also use that kind of technique wherein the power of the voice strengthen as the notes go higher. Look this up. "Sohyang I believe I can fly" on starking and Sohyang - My Heart Will Go On. If you are a singer, you will definitely spot what technique she uses... you can watch Regine's version of My Heart Will Go On too or Charice's version. Differentiate. =D

You can't let her join Mariah, Celine, and Whitney because their voices are very very powerful that a classical singer's voice would be overpowered... =D Regine would perhaps blend well with them because their voices matches up well... @diezfrancis It is possible to learn classical vocal methods like bel canto and to also be able to belt; in fact, many musical roles now require it. The belt sound is easier for some than others, but the sound is possible for classical singers, too. I think regine uses her unly headvoice to "fake" belt her high notes .Haha ,regine uses unly and horrible nasal sound while SoHyang uses more chest voice.SoHyang can join Mariah, Celine, and Whitney because their voices are all very very powerful and beautiful while regine's voice are unly and horrible ,most of the time!

@bxiaiao I don't think that her belting is ugly because it was infact hailed by the Koreans, Japanese, and Taiwanese... xD It was in her generation that she was always featured in Asian TVs... without youtube because of her High Notes... Even the other internation singers come here and have a duet with her... she should have been an Internation Singer but she declined because they said that they should drop her nationality... And that's pure racism... That's why we are proud Filipinos

@diezfrancis I know for a fact that everyone has to mix to even touch c5,yes. Certainly it is the case a passaggio happens for females at f#4 and they are forced to mix to continue on in chest unless they choose to do so in headvoice alone.Like I said She must be a fruit bat or dolphin or some sort of howler monkey to acheive pure chest 5th octave belts because for human beings it is not possible.As everyone has been telling you.There are documents on this all over the internet,just google it

@Breniznit You always rely on the internet~~~ My teacher told me that we are smarter than the computer but relying on it makes us dumb... no wonder people at the time of those very popular scientists were smart because they don't rely on something~~~ They believe in themselves... And I don't know anyone here in the Philippines who uses Mixed voice when singing F5 - C5... My friends usually just belt it out and they could hit it... @primohomme Filipinos don't take credit for technology in Japan cause we are in Southasia. We are known for natural resources. Second, Spaniards ruled the Philippines so for a majority of people in Manila, they are part spanish- hence the name changes and languages.
back to the main point- Have you even heard all of Regine's song samples or just the few on youtube? Her voice is beautiful- and her belts are not that irritating sound you get from other big black singers. ie aretha, patti

@primohomme chihuahua yelping? pls dont hate Brian Mcknight hailed Regine for her vocal prowess and Michael Legrand who wrote Barbara Streisand songs considered her one of the best vocalists after Barbara. and karaoke unoriginality is something ALL singers do outside of America when they sing popular songs by american artists. Even here soyang is singing Mariah songs- not her own, and her "belting" of hero sounded a bit screechy.
