"ESM [or electronic warfare-support measures] greatly enhances the tracking ability of guided weapons, even ordinary missiles. It also reduces the tracking ability of enemy weapons. ESM is different from jamming since it doesn't entirely prevent affected units from spotting their targets through radar and their lock-on capability is not as severely hindered." -- Wikipedia

"Multiple ESM fields can overlap each other for stronger effects. Having an allied ESM field over an enemy ESM signal doesn't negate each other but the effects are still experienced by units from both sides within the field's effective range." -- Wikipedia

My best advice is to fly in within the ESM fields that your allies emanate so that it's easier to deal with your opponents.

I understand your frustration. You most likely haven't completed Campaign mode yet. If so, here is some advice:

1. Use the most maneuverable aircraft that you have available at this time. In this case, it's the Su-47 Berkut.

2. Use the most nimble SP weapon that you have available. In this case, it's most likely the QRAM on your Berkut.

3. Keep a constant eye on your radar for Pasternak's stealthy Nosferatu is, and fire your QRAM at him as soon as it locks on.

4. Use Allied Assault, Allied Cover and your allies' ESM.

5. KEEP MOVING!

if you don't have the su-47 i suggest using the rafale since it can use the greates variety of weapons.

when attack pasternack switch to the s.a.a.m and just keep him within the circle

it might take a few hits so don't be afraid to go back to the airfield to rearm and get repaired.

That depends on your objective.

If you just want to clear the stage, then, yes, focus on shooting down Ilya Pasternak's Nosferatu.

When you get better at the game and are going for ranking, then definitely shoot down as many UAVs as possible before shooting down Pasternak's Nosferatu.

Yes.

And definitely keep moving, use your allies ESM, and take advantage of Allied Assault/Attack and Allied Cover.

I'm not quite sure which fighter will win in real life -- the F-15E or the F-14D.

I've read arguments over the web for both cases, but I've never actually seen or heard any feedback from an actual dogfight between these two great aircraft.

For now, Ace Combat 6 is exclusively on the XBox 360. However, there have been rumors that this title will be released for the PS3 sometime this year, but there has not been any official confirmation from Bandai Namco.
